What Jerks. Perhaps if they had been involved in scouting or some kind of community service they would realize the importance of doing good.

School's out and they are bored. What can we do to pass the time? Destroy something good another person is trying to do! If and when they catch the culprits their punishment should be to cut all the surrounding grass!

Dube is a good dude cause he doesnt smoke a dube.

Seriously, it's nice to know there are still young men out there who aren't Knuckleheads and are trying to do some good in life. His actions of good restore a little bit of faith I have for this Generation.

Nice to see such dedication from a younger generation, and he should be proud of his good deed. Unfortunately he learned a tough lesson; there are always idiots in this world that don't give a darn about someone elses hard work. I would be happy to teach this young man how to weld and supply him with enough steel to build a bridge that will outlive those that ruined his project.

How terrible and what a slap in the face to a good kid doing good for his community. I am so proud of him for not getting discouraged and soldiering on. No one can take away from him all of the hard work he has invested in this project.

What a wonderful response. It's time to reward "good" behavior, instead of "bad".
Your offer to teach this young man is amazing. Thanks

Why does it have to be a city resident? Are you saying that kids from outside of county can't be ignorant. Which is like you sound.

Mr. Dube,

I am sorry that you had this happen to your project repeatedly. I am going to print out this article and read it to my own troop at our own meeting Wedensday night.

I would like to think that someone at the York Adams council gets a hold of this article. As an Eagle scout myself, I know what it took for you to do your project.

As for the vandals, I hope someone steps up and rats you out. May you be forced to rebuild the bridge using your bare hands in the 90 degree sun until its finished.

I too am an Eagle Scout Dad. My Eagle Scout just graduated from Drexel University. I know the work these kid's put into an Eagle Scout project fist hand. Obviously the person behind this distruction willnever have the class to become an Eagle Scout. I can only hope this ditruction does not impead Grant from getting his well deserved Eagle rank. Keep up the good work Grant it will pay off in the end. The rank of Eagle Scout is very impressive on a college application and job intrview.

it has nothing to do with the city or with a single parent. Im from the city and im a single parent. I work full time and a part time job. My kids are respectful and have manners, they are involved in swimming and will be in daisies and scouts in the fall. So you comments is typical from someone who was once from the city. IGNORANT. Its not where or who you gre with but how you were raised .. DUH

Plant land mines around the bridge that should solve the problem.
