No, its not the end of the story. The state gives the rider the right to choose. Who are you to dictate otherwise? Hitler? You've never read the DOT or SNELL reports and I'm sure you never rode a bike, so what qualifies you to make such a stupid assumption? Have you ever taken the Motorcycle Safety course? What exactly qualifies you to make such a stupid statement? BEsides the fact that your clueless?
I think it comes from his belief that when skull meets pavement, pavement wins!

I did not say you have to wear a helmet sally.I said you should wear one.Where did you learn to read?I don't give a dam about the dot or snell reports so why should i read them? And by the way,why do I have to ride a bike to give my opinion on a public thread? What qualifies me to make a statement is the fact that I have to read about all of these big bad bikers wiping out and dying. And I really think you are the clueless one if you don't wear a helmet when you ride.I think you might have been in an accident without a helmet and messed up your brain. When you wreck into the back of another bike or you hit a vehicle without a helmet,I don't want to see you on here complaining.

I'm with you on this "not right", but you REALLY DON'T expect her to be on here complaining AFTER her unprotected noggin bounces off another vehicle or the pavement, do you? Of course not! Like I said, I'm with you on this.

What really happened? Can you tell?
it was a benefit ride for another Legion Rider, some of the riders were ahead, so they were catching up and one motioned for them to slow down, one rider did not see that and bumped into him and he then hit Terri and George,,,George is not blaming anyone,,,he needs to be strong for his kids,,,
Terri did not ride much, she stayed behind with the kids,,,once they got older, then they took short rides,,,but neither he nor there---it happened and we all need to pray for them and give them the strength to go on,,,

Of course they don't always save lives but do you really think he would have survived without one on?

If the state gives the rider the choice then who are you to say anyone SHOULD wear one (your words numbnuts). If you don't give a damn about the SNELL or DOT reports and never have read them then you have no basis to state that anyone SHOULD wear a helmet. Further more, I wear a helmet when I ride but I do it because I choose to do so. But I have read the SNELL amd DOT reports, I know how helmets are made and how they are tested. That is more than any of you screamers can say. You ramble on about how "big bad bikers wiping out and dying" but then you say something so stupid like "I think you might have been in an accident without a helmet and messed up your brain". It kind of contradicts yourself don't you think? Get a clue, read the reports and when you feel you can keep up then come on back and offer up your opinion....until then please continue to stick paper clips in the light socket!

The negative things that are being said should remain in your minds and not come out of your mouths. You are truly diminishing the good that this beautiful wife, mother, sister, teacher and friend has done in her lifetime. She was a good friend of mine and you truly do not understand the damages and insensitivity you are showing her survivg family. The husband, children and family are depending on each other to get through each day. Please do not judge anything unless you have ever been in their shoes. God bless you Terri you will be missed and to George, his children and family you have us loyal people for caring and support.

I'm sure she was a very fine person, unfortunately riding a motorcyle was more important to them than making sure they were there for their kids. Very poor judgement.

And so is crossing the street at 5 pm rush hour, or flying in a hot air balloon, or riding on an airplane, or going on a cruise...I'm sorry I guess she was not supposed to live life, to avoid death? You people are ridiculous...when it's your time you're gonna go. My brother in law was working on a car and it fell on him and crushed his body! I guess he shouldn't have gone to work that day huh?????

You are all cordially invited to attend this weekends charity ride and bar hop. Check out the beginning, stops and ending of the event. Is there such a thing as DUI Motorcycle Sobriety Check Points? If so, they have advertised to the police, the possibility of quite a few set up spots. Helmets don't guarantee survival. Be careful now,'ya all hear!

Hey DUMBASS youcan change the IP on your router all you want and it wouldn't change your location. The location is determined by your ISP proveders IP address of the last server it hits when connecting to topix's server.

I was there that day. My husband and i were the second bike back and my mom and stepdad were the first bike after the accident so we all were the first on the scene. It was a horrible thing to witness. Its now 2 years later and it has never left our thoughts and the Fleagle family is still in our prayers.
To those that feel this was "just" and there must have been alchohol involved YOU ARE WRONG! and should be greatly ashamed of yourselves. What gives you the right? I sincerely hope you fall off of your soap box. Maybe a Harley rider will be there to help you up!

I very seriously doubt it. A Harley rider will be too busy trying to fix all the oil leaks and mechanical problems to help anyone out. A Harley rider would be lucky to get beyond the driveway before they break down.
