The elk relocation proposal is devoid of logic.
It is far less likely that elk will injure someone or cause a fatal auto accident, than that people will die in non-elk-related auto crashes, yet there's no talk of banning cars from Sequim.
Leave the elk alone. Fence the farm fields that need to be protected, but let residents take responsibility for protecting their own decorative plantings. Resume active forestry in the hills south of Sequim, which will restore elk habitat to draw the herd back to their historic stomping grounds.
