Sequim Real Estate Market Dependent Upon California Market

There are 4 comments on the sequim-port-angeles.blogspot.com story from Jun 21, 2008, titled Sequim Real Estate Market Dependent Upon California Market. In it, sequim-port-angeles.blogspot.com reports that:

The Sequim real estate market (and Port Angeles' market) is heavily dependent upon markets in other states, including California and Arizona. Signs of improvement in California's real estate market bodes well for sellers here. I would estimate that more than 50% of our home and land buyers for the Sequim area come from outside the area (CA, AZ, TX, CO, and Seattle). ...

Let the Californians and Arizonians stay there! They just come to Sequim and want to change it into California. We don't have their stores and entertainment. We also don't have the wonderful weather you see advertised. Don't ruin our property values then leave because we aren't like the place you left. Stay there or go to some small town that wants to lose it's rural character and peacefulness!

Mr Marunde, stop ruining Sequim! You and your real estate cronies only care about lining your pockets. You don't care for the natives of this area who just want to continue living in a peaceful community where they can afford to live out their lives on the property they worked their whole lives to keep. You showed your selfish colors when we went to you for help with a property issue several years ago, now you're claiming to have the interest of property owners in Sequim and PA - what a joke!

Miss Codelady, if I was selfish I wouldn't be inviting people to come and see beautiful Sequim. If I was selfish, I wouldn't be giving all I learned in 20 years of law practice away free on the Internet. If I was selfish, I wouldn't have devoted my life to raising my precious children so they could be prepared to be productive citizens and happy adults. P.S. It's not nice to cast aspersions at others anonymously. When you post, share your full name.

Thank you Chuck Marunde, I am from a rural town In California. There are a lot of people in our area from Washington that have moved here and we welcomed them with open arms. I also have relitives that live in Washington and don't think anything less of them in fact we visit them often. Everyone thinks California really thinks we all are from LA. Well guess what we are not! Thank you for not being biased. By the way I am also a Realtor and am licensed in both states so I see people from all walks of life and they are all treated the same. With kindness. But I guess there unhappy people every where.
