Saw some questions about other builders - has Prestige Builders declared bankruptcy? Dale Graham seems to have taken customer money and disappeared with it.

I hope so. Oconee County doesn't need builders like Dale Graham/Prestige claiming to know how to build a house. We had nothing but problems with Dale and his marry men/subcontractors.

I am an owner who contracted with Dale Graham of Prestige Builders to build my home. He started our home in Jan. 2008 and left the job in Oct. 2008. We currently have a civil action lawsuit filed against Prestige and Dale for a variety of issues including, we believe, misappropriation of funds or use of funds for purposes other than building our home, poor quality construction, and numerous other complaints. It is also clear he used subcontractors that did not do quality work. We have spent a substantial amount of money to correct the quality and code defects resulting from his role as general contractor. We would like to hear from others who have had serious problems with Dale Graham. I can be reached at the following e-mail address - [email protected]

FrancisX, you were ran out of Seneca and never had anything good to say about anyone. You were fired from two real estate offices and told off by everyone in town. You were also fired by the last two employers before you were in real estate. The sheriff of Anderson wants you.

I don't know what the complaints are about but there are two sides to every story. Dale has built for us, my mother and nephew. We have nothing but praise for Dale and Prestige Builders. No one has ever been so considerate and caring. We were very satisfied and would use Prestige again.

Dale built for us several years ago. We have a great house with everything we could possibly want. If I have ever had a problem Prestige has been there. We are very happy with our home.

Our home was built by Prestige in 2006. Problems yes, but not dishonesty. Oversight could have been better, and that falls squarely on the general contractor. Some of the subs were "sub", but finding good ones and building relationships takes time. Building during a high demand period also makes finding the best help difficult. Dale made reasonable effort to restify problems.

My home was built back in 02 by prestige and we we were always attended to with ANY problem we had. Dale was courteous and prompt, solving any issue to our satisfaction.

Dale built my house also but would never correct the many mistakes made. His subs were below par but as the contractor it's his job to make sure they do their job correctly. I would not recommend him in the future.

I thought he was honest- but he illegally pulled permits. He used Oris Howell as a subcontractor/pretend builder to slap up a house and run. It's too small a town to not get caught for that. I don't think either of them have any money now, but I will pursue justice legally for my own piece of mine (as my house is being repaired!). How could you take advantage of a single mother like that? The city inspectors should have caught his mistakes and shortcuts too. My house is almost 5 years old and I'm still trying to 'finish' it.

We found out that Orris Howell had illegally stolen contracts from Dale Grahams office and filled in blanks. He put his name in as contractor but used Dales contract so Dale was assumed to be the builder but was not. Orris Howells lawyer was approached. Orris Howell is definitely not trustworth but plays a good game. Orris hires his daughter and son so that they are employed but doesn't pay anyone.

Orris Howell is definitely a crook in the worst way. He hides behind his church and family. Anyone he has ever worked with or for is left in the dust. He definitely hires and pays his daughter and son a hefty salary. His daughter works in his office and his wife keeps the children. The daughers first house is worth almost Three hundred thousand and her husband is (or was) a cop???? We have seen him and his family out at nice restaurants and they live the good life at everyones espense. He has done a lot of damage to a lot of people.

Wow. I was scammed by that family also. Can anyone tell me why his wife was fired by the Thrift Family? It must be because of the attachment to Orris' name. He owes me a lot of money and won't call or even pay monthly.I wish his wife and family lived in a trailer like the trailer trash they are.

Orris Howell let his house forclose then had someone buy it back and he pays the mortgage. What a con. Kept the money and the house for much less.
He has no shame. One day he will pay.
His children are learning how to scam people too. What out for the next generation of Howells.

I feel someone consoled when I see I wasn't the only one conned by Howell and Graham. After a case regarding how City of Seneca inspectors shouldn't have pass Howell/Graham houses, I learned that Graham gave up his license in SC and can never reapply for one. Maybe he'll uses Orris's. I see his construction truck around town- I'm getting my eggs ready... Maybe we can join together for a lawsuit?

My name is Marcus King. I am a former employee of orris. I gotta say I agree with most of the posts on this site. As a carpenter working for orris we were told to complete jobs in city limits, those of which required permits. Well those permits were never obtained and me and my crew were told to say such things as( If an inspector comes asking about permits, tell them you guys are friends with the owners and you are workingfor beer money. I worked with him and dealt with the not being paid and lied to about my money while he took hunting trips to other states with my paycheck while me and my wife and kids were evicted from our home in a trailer park where when I would ask about why this was happening I was told that I needed to live within my means. The guy is a crook and lier! Beware of this guy!
