We Need Stronger Medical Patient Modesty

I think this is an excellent point. I am hospitalized frequently due to a chronic illness, and while I understand the need to be able to "access" my back, I resent the fact that I feel naked in a hospital gown. Also, I feel violated when doctors make their rounds early in the mornings while I'm bedside bathing, and think nothing of coming right in before I have a chance to cover up. I realize they are doctors, and have seen my naked body from stem to stern, but it's still uncomfortable to sit there and have a conversation with them covered by my towel.

Thank goodness I have never had to go to hospital; but I don't mind showing my butt. I do it all the time, albeit metaphorically!
Sorry for throwing in something irrelevant to a serious conversation, but I couldn't resist. Call it comic relief.
