im hurt and need advice

[needadoctor]

about 2 years ago i had surgery on my right knee, fluid build up, scarred inside the knee cap, and scar tissue on the plicka. my knee now pops to the inside. and hurts so bad i cant take it any more. im in need of a good knee brace. im new to louisville so idk where to find one. please help asap! i work 50-70hrs a week and on my feet all day.

the worst part about this... im only 27 and so im sure it will only get worse. any info/tips would be helpful! thx!

ill have to wait till i can afford it though. im just looking for ideas to help the pain when im at home and work. is heat best or cold ice? and any good knee braces?

Dude to be honest. If its that bad. Go see a doc and get some pain meds for it. I just got done dealing with colon cancer at 33 yrs old. In good Heath. But man does that chemo fuck ur body up. Pain meds helped me get through the pain and helped put a smile on my face for family and loved ones. I still deal with the pain and still take meds but not as many now. Btw last scan says cancer free. But go to a doc. He will know what's best for u

A brace that you can buy at the dog store will provide additional knee support and help stabilize your knee. They work well and are certainly better than nothing. The apAce products are pretty good.

ever heard of financial aid?only have to pay a couple of doctor fees. And with 50-70 hrs a week unless your making slave labor I'd say u would swing it.

ice your knee three times a day. A brace will just make the muscles around your knee weak and make your condition worse. You might also just Google your problem and see what the medical sites have to say.

If you don't have insurance and cannot afford a doctor, then get in at a clinic. The Fairdale clinic started seeing me for my knee problems and it turned out I had a tear in my ACL. After going to the clinic (which was free) they referred me to an orthopedic surgeon and I had surgery to reconstruct my damaged ACL. It didn't cost me a dime, except I had to pay for my own prescriptions, but it was worth it to be out of pain and able to use my knee without fear of further damaging it. In the mean time, keeping your knee elevated and iced when you are not working is the best thing you can do. Also, an antiinflammatory such as ibuprofen is helpful as well. Good luck.

well looks like it worked asking on here. so ill let ya keep ur "dunce" hat. and ty everyone for the info and tips :) i bought a really good brace, and use ice and heat on my knee. it still hurts but not as much. soon ill go check out a few doctors.
