I was just wondering if this was a turn off for women. I'm not talking about dead beats with lack of condom knowledge. I'm talking about the men who play a big role in their child's upbringing. Please feel free to expound on your answer.

As a mother myself, no it isn't a turn off. I respect a man who is a big part of their childrens life. That is how it should be.

I hope that it wouldn't be a turnoff... What's your other alternative? Deadbeat dads?

It's only a turn off if the guy does NOT put his kids first. Any guy not man enough to take care of the needs of his children, and be an active part of their life is NOT a man in my book!

Depends on the person, if they like kids or not. I think it's great for a dad to have custody & they deserve it when they do all the work anyway.

A Dad should always let a new woman in his life know that his children must be his first priority. Kids do not ask for divorce or loss in other ways. They need the security of knowing their father is always concerned with their needs. That is true of any set of parents, once you make the commitment to have children then raise them with confidence in who they are. There is a sensitive common sense way to expose children to "adult" time and allow them to see every adult sometimes needs to be with another adult. A woman coming into a relationship of a ready made family should be mature enough to understand that. I also believe they should remain on good terms with the childrens" mother for their sake.

Would you be more or lesa likely to date a guy who did have custody? All other things being there that attracted you.

I would be more likely to date a guy with kids, custody or not, because i have kids. But some women can't have kids & will treat your kids as if they were theirs.

That's the way with me. I would really be more likely to date a woman with children.
