I think James Frasier, Danny Pinson, Steve Ellsworth, Alan Strickland, Kenan Lambert, that little short one i dont know his name but he is a good deputy i think.
Chris Reynolds, Chris Kerr, Tony Westbrooks, Jody Smith, Lynn Ingle, Kim Holly, and Roger Rickman. Thats the only ones I know that are good decent Officers in MCNairy County.

I think that's a pretty good list, but don't leave out Ron...well I forget his last name lol. He is the best traffic cop and I appreciate how fast he gets cars in and out of the high school.

Jody Smith and Chris Reynolds? Are you serious? These two offices are he worst that we have in Selmer. Both of them get off on harrassing people. We need officers who actually do their jobs and don't spend their time stalking out people they dont like. Tony Westbrooks is too busy chasing white girls and defending criminals. Our rookie crew is a joke. They are too busy chasing little girls around trying to get into their panties. If they had been doing their jobs we sure as hell wouldnt need a robo cop. I am sick of hearing about all the michael Gilbert drama. Look deeper into the lives of some of the officers mentioned above and I am sure you will find some skeletons that they are afraid will come out.
McNairy County has some good officers. Robert Hitchborn is one of the best ones. The older more mature and experienced officers are the best ones.

You know rather than griping all the time I personally feel that if you can prove any of those claims then file complaints, otherwise posting it is useless don't you think? You do realize that some of these things said here are slanderous without proof. And the little anonymous names used are not disguising who you are. A subpoena to topix gets your ip address that is traced to your ISP who you pay for service. My point is this, post the facts your freedom of speech isn't freedom if it damages the character of someone else.

I agree 100%. I think there is another African American that now works for the city that is a decent officer, i think his name is Quinton??? not sure about the spelling of his name.

I doesn't take a genius to determine who Selmer1 is. You would think with your extra smart IQ??????, that you could have written something better than this. As for as Officers Smith and Reynolds go, I've been stopped by both of them. What was I doing, you ask? SPEEDING...Did I get a ticket? YES. But I can say in defense of both officers, they were both professional, polite, and did their jobs. And I paid my tickets.

Hopefully, our new Sheriff will surround himself with some smart, trustworthy, officers that are not afraid to work and or honest with the public. I think if he does this, he will make changes in our county.

I found a written statement that I would like to share. It will take more than comments area to write, so it will continue page1, 2, 3 etc.

Dear Mr./Mrs. Citizen

Well. I guess you have figured me out. I seem to fit neatly into the category you place me in. I'm stereotyped, characterized, standardized, classified, grouped and always typical. I am the lousy cop.

Unfortunately, the reverse isn't true. I can never figure you out. From birth you teach your children that I am the person to be aware of. Then, you are shocked when they identify me with my traditional enemy....The Criminal

Part 2,
You accuse me of coddling juveniles, until I catch your kid doing something wrong. You take an hour lunch, and several breaks each day, then, point me out as a loafer if you see me have just one cup.
You pride yourself on your polished manners, but think nothing of interrupting my meals at noon with your troubles.
You raise hell about the guy who cuts you off in traffic, but, let me catch you doing the same thing, and all of a sudden I am picking on you.
You know all the traffic laws, but, never got one single ticket you deserved
You shout " Abuse of Authority" if you see me driving fast to an emergency call, but raise 9 kinds of hell if I take more than 30 seconds responding to your.

Part 3,
You call it " Part of my Job" when someone hits me, but yell"Police Brutality" if I strike back.
You would never think of telling your dentist how to pull a bad tooth, or a doctor how to perform surgery on you. but, you are ALWAYS willing to give me pointers on how to be a police officer.
You talk to me in a manner, and, use language that would assure a bloody nose from anyone else, but, you expect me to stand there and take your verbal abuse without batting an eye.
You cry, " Something has to be done about crime,But, you can't be bothered to get involved.

Part 4
You have no use for me what so ever, but of course, it's OK for me to change a tire for your wife.Stop the man/woman that is abusing or beating you. Save your childs life with CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation, the list coild go on and on.
Has it ever crossed your mind that I forsake precious time with MY family, working long hours overtime, trying to solve whatever your problem might be, searching for you lost child, looking for the person that broke in and stole your property?

So, Dear Citizen, you stand there on your soap box and rant and rave about the way I do my job, calling me every name in the book, but, never stop a minute to think that your property, your family, and maybe your life, might someday depend on one thing......ME
Respectfully'
A Lousy Cop

I am grateful too our officers, that get out everyday/night to protect and serve our community.
Those of you that get out, work hard getting your job done. Thank You!
For those that are just here for a paycheck, don't have ass do your job, because your either lazy, don't care, about your selves or others. Go Home and stop wasting our tax dollars!

I know Officer Reynolds on a buisness level and yes he gave me a citation, but was very courteous in doing so. Ma'am this and ma'am that. I did wrong and he gave me a ticket and i didnt feel the need to thank him, but he was not a rude person to me at all. Wish there were more officers like this one patrolling the streets.

the cops in selmer can be good at times and sometimes they are not.'Charlie get a life' you really should get a life because roger rickman has been a very good friend of the family for many years since i was a little girl and him and wendy both are great people. most marriages dont work so why the hell is he a bad guy? he is aa very well cop. c/s i have been stopped by many of the cops in selmer bc im a speeder. i havent had a ticket yet so ive been very lucky. chris reynolds is a very nive gentleman, he is proffesional and reasonable. quintin the new guy is a good guy he is very nice. jacko is very proffesional and he is a nice man. there are a few in selmer who just come to work to brown nose and suck ass to get a paycheck or to think they are better than all of us 'normal' people the huckabees should be gone they suck. blake is only a cop when ohhh yea he doesnt act like it bc on days off hes drunk recking vehicles and when hes working oh wait he drinks a beer in town while hes hanging out with all the teenagers in town. ON DUTY and someone stole his car really!! the father huckabee just makes sure he never gets in trouble. thats great protect your kids job! some cops that used to be good are just turning bad bc its all about the money now, not about how we need them or anything. this is a bad topic bc alot of cops suck but some are good so im done...
