I thought his daughter and son in law were running the store. Sad because that store brought alot of tax revenue to this town.

His ass and Larry winkles have made enough trips to stockpile money in the past. If you knew what kind of man he really was you wouldn't want any revenue from him. The whole henco movement was stuffed shirts I hong beyond their means. And he screwed them too! A lot of money has gone to Switzerland. Bankruptcy is to protect people who have acquired debt. Then have bad circumstances or thanks to a clandestine run economy. Not shrewd dishonest evil business men. Oh well. Welcome to America.

I don't know if what you are saying is true or not but I do know that Henco was a very nice store bringing alot of people to this town and that it did genereate a lot of tax revenue for this county. I also had heard that his daughter was going to take over the store. Does anyone know the TRUTH about what actually happened?

Are you people not getting these flyers in the mail about a special sale before the building is sold. The place is up for auction.

Hate that. We buy most of our furniture there. It would be nice to know the truth.

Liquidators now run a "going out of business sale". They bring in a lot of furniture, mark it way up, then discount it to make people think they are getting a sale price. They were losing money or they would not be going out of business.

Tommy has been mean to a lot of ppl. It has always been about Tom and homely wife and homely Susan. Ppl lost everything when fund raising went under. The roof has leaked forever.
Ok nice furniture with buckets catching H20.

Some revenue-- every factory that wants to come to Selmer gets turned down. Seems to me the old money are conglomerating their money to stop the better paying jobs from coming in. Factories that are already here doesn't pay crap.

Please do enlighten us about factories wanting to come to this town and getting turned down. Think about the factories that are here and the skills required to do the jobs. I haven't heard anything about the roads being blocked so if it is so bad, hit the road, Jack!!!!!

McNairy County,Selmer TN have always been noted for being the butthole of the state of TN. You have a handfull of people working their azz off to make it,than you have a handfull of people laughing their azz off at the people working. Most work for the Gov,City,County,State. It is also noted for being the Good-Ole-Boy capital.

I happen to be one of the people who work. You all say factories want to come but they aren't allowed. One reason they won't come is because of the number of people in this county who don't have high school diplomas. Industries take that to mean an uneducated work force. Not only uneducated but lazy. How long has caterpillar been in Corinth? You people act like McNairy county is the only place around that has economic problems. Also, no I'm not one of the old heads with pockets full of money. The reason that the same ones are chosen everytime is that they are the only ones willing to do it. Run for office if you think you have the solutions. A few who have thought that have found out they were wrong. When I said that about the factories, there was sarcasm injected there. The jobs don't require any special skills and that is why they are low paying!

No idea who Howard Moore is or his movement. I can't answer your other questions either. I think I'll stay here and listen to people gripe about the problems!
