They will suspend your drivers license, until you pay it, plus a fine, and a drivers license reinstatement fee. Just went threw all that crap last month because I was not aware of the ticket.

It seems to me that it should be required they send the traffic fine CERTIFIED MAIL!!!!!!!! How else do they verify you received it and be liable for it? Aggravating. Anyways, if I ran it, my tail had to be only an inch in the line to be considered such, which means I am at fault nonetheless. I was going to ignore it. But they are sending me "collection of debt" notices and saying it will be affect my credit score. And now instead of only $50, they tack on $80+ for collection agency fee! Grrrr!!!

So, will they suspend your license? What if you are out-of-state, passing through?

In Tenn they can't touch you DL or report it to your ins. All they can do is turn you over to a collection agency. And they try to make you pay. They can ding your credit report. I could care less.

You don't have to pay if you don't want to.

Its a legal scam upon us working folks. We need to watch who we elect to office that brings these unjust things upon us taxpayers.

Keep your 50.00 in your pocket. But you should try not to run a traffic light or speed.

Be Safe. And wear your seat belt.

I got one at that light in Selmer and I was sitting still! FLASH! My nose must have been a foot too far forward. How is that "running a red light"?

That was the fastest red light I ever experienced. The funny part, I was on a business trip looking at facilities to start a business for a large corporation. It looks like Mississippi will get this facility. My experience in Tennessee was not good and my report showed my lack of appreciation for Selmer. So much for a fast light. Hope you enjoy my $50.

You are right. It is too quick. The light from hwy 64west to hwy 45 south is only 7 seconds.

Whatever I don't think a business man or woman traveling through would bother to voice a anonymous complaint on a forum. Quit lying and go to court if you have a gripe.
