People are acting as if they are walking right out the door with pain pills. When you go to the dr. You are given a prescription to take to a pharmacy and have filled. These people have every right to have their medication just as someone who has high blood pressure does. Because of the ignorance of some people the ones with chronic pain are finding themselves in even more agony because they cannot even get their prescriptions filled. If you do not have insurance or medicaid you cannot see a regular dr and therefore have to resort to using a pain clinic. I think everyone should stop and do their homework before they start ridiculing people for trying to live a pain free life. GLASS HOUSES!

i understand their are people with illness who are in pain. but i cant figure out if you need a pain clinic then why cant you get medicaid if you are to disabled to function with out pills? and how can you pay them and not a doctor? i would want to know why i was in so much pain. but unfortuntely these pills are highly addictive & people are getting them for the high or to sell. not everyone but quite a few. so no these pill mills do not belong in residental areas

My husband is on his way to the pain clinic and he is by no means a drug addict. He pulled a muscle in his back last night and can hardly move. We are a well to-do family but could not get him into the Dr. today and the Urgent Care Centers are not an option (because it's very rare that they would give you any type of pain management). I feel the Wellness Center is our last option and I am thrilled that we have that option. I am not sure what type of experience he will have but will post once I know more.

I understand the concern and respect free speech. However; folks should know that addicts score drugs no matter what, even with respected Dr.'s, this clinic will monitor intake and provide pain relief for the folks who truly need it.

i dont quite understand. your husband pulls a mucsle in the night & in so much pain didnt go to emergency room. they would have given enough relief till you could get to family doctor in a few days. my son went to an urgent care for his back gave him muscle relaxers & pain pills for one week till followup with his primary care doctor. pulled mucsle is usually short term with

The biggest problem with the Jeffersonville pain clinic is 95% of the people going there are from hours away in Eastern KY and further. There is no reason to drive that far except to get a easy perscription to sell the pills. There are hundreds of doctors & hospitals between Jeffersonville and where they came from that could help them but they want to skirt the system.

There are only two reasons a person uses a Pain Management Clinic. 1-They have an addiction to an opiate and they have exhausted every Doctor in their area and have been flagged for excessive requests for pain medications and are being refused prescriptions for these drugs, or 2- They are dealing drugs. When these paid clinics write prescriptions, these are generally for a 90 day supply. If a doctor writes a script to take two tablets 4 times a day and they have a 90 day supply, this equals roughly 772 pills. Some of these drugs are being sold for $20 a tablet. You do the math and tell me,Why do they travel hundreds of miles to visit a Pain Management Clinic? Wake up, It's not because they can't get in to see their doctor.

I can see concern with the clinic but these people that sand out side and take pictures and yell are a bigger problem. Show the love of Jesus to others in stead of hate, go feed the homeless instead of calling names and judging people. Hello people have been abusing opiods not prescipted by a doctor in ur town long before this show rolled in. At least these are health pill Billy's.

Yes, the ones abusing them are getting them from these pill mills, and many are dying because of them. They had the addictions long ago, and their family doctors and local hospitals in their areas will no longer write them scripts. Until these Pill Mill doctors are held accountable for their so called treatment plans, many more are going to die. You never know whose life will be lost to these companies.. Maybe even someone you know. Thats when the reality will set in,with the heartbreak of a loved one lost.

Obviously, I am talking to someone currently under the influence of something. No, I do not think the location of my vocabulary comes from the part of my body you mentioned above.I would venture to say that you have failed to speak with any form of rational. The only valid point to your conversation is no, I am not educated in the laws from any state when it comes to writing, purchasing or selling any drugs. It is obvious that you are far more educated on this subject than I.However, Given the opportunity, I would gladly protest outside this "Legalized Drug Dealers" office at 50 below zero,if I could prevent it from destroying peoples lives.

What? Did I push some buttons because you are dealing with an educated hillbilly? I have a social work degree and I am part of the Kentucky Board of Certification of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Some people do have real pain and doctors here are so scared to deal with it. There will always been people abusing medication docs have to weed these people out, but it does not necessarily make someone bad to take a pain pill. By the way I help people not run pills. lol!

Push my button? Please be serious. In the Commonewealth of Kentucky a degree is not necessary to be a drug or substance abuse counselor. Hell, half of the counselors are people that have just came out of a substance program themselves.Abusers counseling abuser, yes, that will work out just fine. And go into any of these classes, pay the fees, and they'll say you attended the classes when you haven't. But, back to the original Topic, I still support anyone that wants these places closed down, and your approval of what I think is completely irrelevant.

You are a sad person looking for something to bitch about. Thats not how college works you have never been because I went to Morehead and it was hell to pass and you had only four days you could miss and you were kicked out hardest program I have ever been to and they don't just give it to you. I will tell you that people that have been through the same thing also makes the best counselors! I am not arguing anymore but I just take up for the people who really need pain management.

Hmmmmmmm well now let's see here. Lol what good does it do to get pain pills? I can't get any because they accuse me of being a drug addict. Hell I have a 3 1/2" medical report. So hey druggies get off the pills so maybe people who actually need them can obtain them.
