Does anyone else think that it is a bit dangerous for the state police to sit next to the concrete divider wall on interstate 65 and radar traffic from there, and then pull you over next to the wall itself?? What happened to sitting on the shoulder of the road and running radar from there?? I have also witnessed the motorcycle patrol walking out into the lanes of traffic and waving people over, this seems a bit risky also, but I have seen it on numerous occasions. I have not been pulled over or given a ticket but have wondered about these practices for some time, just seems dangerous to me.

They look and act like a bunch of NAZI's. And now they are driving a grey Ford F150. What woman in their right mind would want to pull over for an unmarked pick-up truck. I think that is TOTALLY over the line. I know speeding is dangerous, and it is a crime, but this bunch of panzies are afraid of the real criminals, so they try to make a big show out of their speed enforcement. And, let's not forget about how much money it brings in. But it is ok for them to go flying by you in their patrol car with the wife and kids in the back. I guess they are above the law.

I agree with all the posters the cops are getting crazy. the other day my 8 year old asked me why it was ok for the police who passed us to speed, and another one ran a yellow-turning-red light same day, and she asked me why that was ok. Pretty sad when kids notice the police's bad behavior!

If you are a lone driver, you are within your rights to slow down, motion to the officer to follow you, and drive to a location where other people are present (gas station, restaurant parking lot, etc). If what the previous poster said about the officer pulling over lone women is true, then people definately need to have the officer follow them to a busy location.

Oh, and no way would I pull over for any of those unmarked vehicles, thats just crazy!

You are all completely ridiculous. I mean, fuck don't stop for an unmarked vehicle with lights, sirens and a state trooper behind the wheel. Resist law enforcement and endvup in jail. And next time a state trooper is beside you speed past him since he was obviously speeding too, and I bet it all goes great for you. State troopers don't target lone women either. I can assure you that they have wives at home and aren't interested in harassing other women. I really think that you should focus a little more on obeying the law and a little less on making up stories and complaining about the state police.

He is doing his job. Troopers have a quota, and if one wrote you s ticket you probably deserved it. You people seem to forget that it's their job to stop you. They are normal working people, and if you were obeying the law you would have nothing to worry about.

Scott county needs a judge like Marion county has (before legislation neutered him). You should have to pay your fine and the maximum amount possible on top of it for wasting the courts time. I've always paid my fines and I justly deserved them. Grow up.

Being the state police means they are able to patrol state wide. Sometimes there is only one trooper working for all five counties.

Banet works out of the Sellersburg post which covers Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Washington and Scott counties. Being a Trooper, his jurisdiction is anywhere he pleases.

Just because an unmarked car has lights and a siren doesn't mean there is an officer behind the wheel. Did you see the news this weekend? Also I've never had a ticket. And I still think they look and act like a bunch of Nazi's. Sounds to me like someone's wife or girlfriend isn't too happy.(Seriously)
