Thank you Anti-Nimby,and all others who view this heart-breaking story. Please keep our family in prayer, for this is not the first time we have lost children in a fire. In 2006, we lost three other cousins to a house fire ages 2,4,9. In addition, Arthur was an amazing man and dad!!!!

Thank you

All SCPD highway cars carry fire extinguishers, chances are if they were on patrol, they could have put the fire out. So I'll ask the question, where were the Deputies?

A legitimate question, as yet unanswered.

Excellent question! Took the Sheriffs 18 minutes to respond to that horrific accident! 18 minutes!!! That is outrageous! If Suffolk highway was still on the road you would have had an appropriate response time, and maybe a different outcome. That is basically the ceter of the expressway in Suffolk county and an 18 minute response time at 4am from either end of the expressway is inexcusable. Suffolk highway would have been there in minutes. Seems like public safety is being put at risk. I see lawsuit written all over this one.

My dear,dear family...
We again find ourselves in another heart breaking situation where we are grieving the lost of our loved ones. This was a horrible accident opens up the wounds that are still trying to heal from the lost of the three young lives that we lost in a house fire two years ago (ages 9, 4, 2 years old). Kendra, please know that you and the children are so deep in my prayers. Know that Jehovah God is the only one that can truly feel your pain and heal your heart. Hold on to each other during this extremely painful time, and we will get through this as well. We're looking forward to another family day when we can rally around all of you once again. Until then, we send our love and prayers to all of you and Arthur's family.
Love...

While a truck driver and an off duty City Cop attempted to enter the car and rescue the occupants, the Deputy Sheriff at the scene stayed in his vehicle. Newsday has had this information for sometime. How come they didn't report this in the paper. Is it because they didn't want to embarrass the County Executive?

ITS DISGUSTING!! The Man was in the car alive screaming for help! The off duty city cop told the Sheriff and he would not get out of his car to help! What a disgrace! Newsday, Levy, Dormer, and Demarco all know this information and are sitting on it!, how can they sleep at night knowing that this family died this horrific death while a Sheriff sat 10 car lengths behind while they burned to death? How can they all sleep at night? If SCPD was still on the road someone in that car may have still been alive. Better response time and better trained cops who would have wanted to be there! The witnesses were outraged at the unprofesionalism and disgracefullness to say the least. Too bad the truth will remain buried by this corrupt county!

Right...the SCPD, or the officer himself, couldn't save their own cop who was burnt alive in his patrol car last week.

Next union soundbyte please.

The Cop unlike the accident on the expressway that claimed the lives of the father and two young children wasnt inside the car screaming for someone to help, but the father was as a Sheriff sat behind the car while him and his children were burning alive. The Officer was unfortunately dead as officers arrived. The car exploded immediately after hitting the pole. That father called 911 twice, the first time the Sheriffs didnt pick up, and his wife once!! You have got to be kidding, a soundbyte!! Ask the family and all the witnesses at the scene. They would have a very different opinion of that! This was a tradgedy that shouldnt have happened, but did!
