"It's definitely a fluke," Molloy said of the incident.

What does that mean? It was a fluke that it was this particular house? This area?

one of the neighbors in the village probably called the police when they saw the kid breaking in. maybe the people in NORTH bellport should be as vigilant. i know who lives in my area, know when people are out of town, and will call if i see something/someone out of place. plus we pay higher taxes so we can have code enforcment and they know when people are out of town too, and add patrols through that area. all your nephews friends ran when he got shot, they didn't help him. and THAT is why there is more crime up there. you shun the police everyday, but when something happens, you expect them to be there at the drop of a hat. i know MANY good people from that area, unfortunately, there seems to be a "not my problem" attitude that has perpetuated for years. fix that, and then you will see progress

Yeah, When the people all ran away and didnt call the cops? It was the people he surrounded himself by. When you hang with poeple who dont want to call the cops after you get in a fight and get shot cause its "SNITCHING" your going to bleed out and die. When finally someone roles up and calls the cops. Dont try and tswist the situation for your benifit. ITs always the cops fault or the "system" . No im not a cop. SOmeone who stays infromed. Even your own brother on Public TV channel 20 in Nassau said, it was the brotha's fault for keeping such surely company"
come on help the situation dont just throw gas on the fire. By the way this kid is totaly DUMB, hiding under a bed! thats great

MAYBE SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE FACT THAT THERE WERE ABOUT 30 WITNESSES BUT NO ONE SAW SOMETHING AT THE SHOOTING, RIGHT, RIGHT IT'S ALL RACISM. NOT IGNORANCE

Remember these were kids, scared, being shot at by a 9 mm. What would you have done? Jump in front of the bullet or duck and run to try and save yourself? If those kids hadn't have ran, there would have been more bodies laying in the street to die.

And yes, the cops should have responded sooner. Maybe my nephew would have had a chance.

You people are talking this crap and know absolutely nothing about what your talking about.

If you know so much about the case, Call Crime Stoppers and tell them your story.

The killer is still on the loose.

The Police are liars.First of all, the police caught him OUTSIDE the house. He never even stepped foot in the house. 2nd off all, he wasn't even NEAR the house. The alarm went off because of something else with the garage which he wasn't involved in. Damn man, the system is all fucked up. This is a bullshit case and it should be thrown out.

p.s. this is all random speculation, lol

Sadly, Pelvy's story is true. I was watchin the Giants game on my DVR when i heard the commotion outside. I looked out the window and i saw the cops hit him with a fashlight and cuff him. As soon as i recognized him i rushed outside to ask them what the problem was and the told me to keep out of their way or id get hit with obstruction of justice. The house they were in front of(which happens to belong to my friend Bill) showed no sign of damage on the front door. I really hope they do scrap this case because Anthony is a good kid and they obviously arrested him to fill some sort of quota.

This note is false. The police made too much discrimination just for the last name of the person. Also, the media never says the true.

The report is totally false. We all knows that the police made discrimination just for the last name of the person. Also Anthony is the best sailor in Bellport and know the media is trying to destroy his caracter, integrity and reputation. News Day gave a false information based in a wrong police report.

The incident with Anthony Monzon is not as the police report, the police never said what was the evidence. Somebody is trying to destroy the image and reputation of a great kid from Bellport. Thanks to Anthony Monzon, people knows the Village of Bellport, because he is a great seilor and member of the Bellport Yacht Club. Also he is a great musician. News Days is not reporting the true.

Do not believe in the media. They are trying to destroy the life of the best sailor from Bellport. Somebody is trying to made a bad image of this kid. Monzon is a great kid and a he lives in Bellport for many years. Everybody knows him. Something is very wrong with the police report and with News Day.

If you ask to the kids of Bellport they will give to you the real information about how is Monzon. He is a good kid and a example for others. News Day and the police is given a totally wrong information.

The police is not doing his work correct, the criminals are in the streets and the police are taking our children and destroy their lifes.
If you read the note from News Day you will see many things incorrect. The police report and the media are totally wrong. This Kid is a goog neighbor, but the police is trying to destroy his life and future just because of his last name. Monzon is a great kid, a great nieghbor and a good student. Why News Day believe in the police? Because they are working together to destroy the life of this kid. News Day is wrong.

Why do you believe in a police report? This kid is inocent, he is not an idiot, he a great student and he is in one of the best high school in NY.
The police report is false, and maded just with the purpose to destroy a child life. Monzon is a grear friend and a good neiggbor, we know him since he was a little child. Monzon is member of the Bellport Yacht Club for many years, and he is a good example for the kids in Bellport Village.

I used to say let North Bellport Burn. But as a resident south of Montauk and north of south country I have begin to realize ther has got to be a better neighborhood watch on both north and south of Montauk. 95% of us are hard working people who should call the police on the people who are not making it a safer place for our kids to grow up
