This women should be ashamed of herself complaining her tent was loud etc... but come to find out 7 people lives are foreverchanged because that apt was not legal ..it just seems so typical of landlords on long island make a space thats not legal just to get $$ i know i used to live in many many apts that were not legal lucky for me i moved out of them when i found out the apts were not legal ...what suffolk county needs to do instead of paying for stupid stuff and wasting taxpayers $$ the should spend the $$ looking into the landlords that dont have legal apts

This problem will never go away. Too many people are making money. Even the local governments are in the apartmental rental of single-family homes.

Huntington has allowed single-family home owners to put in an apartment and call it an accessory.

The house is now techically a two-family house.

Taxes remain as just a one family-house.

The whole community which includes the school districts are getting ripped off. The town is making money from the fines and fees for these apartments and it goes into the towns slush fund.

Tax payers never see any of it.

Also basement/cellar apartments are illegal in the state of New York when they are mostly below ground.

Yet some people manage to get around it no matter what the laws.

Add in the equation for affordable housing along with welcoming all illegal immigrants to the area and this will never go away. Which is just the way the real estate industry and politicians wants it.

Megan, you're a liar, it wasn't even close to 2 years, no one was serious, and your drug use was a problem.
