It is very interesting to read that Mr. Blair will wait till after the town elections to see who will be his boss (selectmen) before he decides if he wants to apply for the position.
It seems he does not care for the good of the town, as usual, but who will supervise him to determine if it is worth his while.
this is a very disturbing attitude.

Considering LaClair ran the town as Town Manager, it is a surprise. The previous Boards of Selectmen have been very weak and lazy. Hopefully this trend will change, but don't count on it.

Certain people in GB are developing quite a rep for trying to intimidate public officials when they don't get their way. Soon no one will run but the crooks.

Since the Selectmen have failed to come up with simple long and short range goals and a workable plan on how to run the town and handle growth it isn't surprising. As for people running, well common sense doesn't get you elected anymore, for any office.

Blair and Dloguz had an agenda from the start, that is obvious. It didn't work and both should be run out of town on a rail. They care not for the entire town, they are out for a few...

The town managers position is one of the highest paid jobs in great barrington. As we all know, Mr. Blair does not need the money. A lot of other people do need to work for their money. He wants to "play" at being lord bountiful. It seems to me he likes to play the puppet master, as most decisions made do not impact him in any way.
What great barrington needs is someone who will manage the town. Who will actually walk around and check on projects, see what needs to be done, and have timely follow-up. Time studies need to be done with the town employees including the road crew and the police.
Property taxes steadily increase and services decrease.

You are absolutely correct. I have been saying the same thing in town for years, and ran on those ideas.
