When Lisa Doty was the board clerk, there were details in the BOE minutes. Now there are just simple sentences with no details. That way no one really knows what's going on. No details, no questions...

Also, If you notice, every single member always votes the same. All the above votes are 7-0. No one ever votes against an idea. Do they even know what they are voting for? No one in the community does, because there are never any details in the minutes.

I heard the school just hired two people back that they paid $12000 to take retirement a year ago. Does that make sense? New school board members needed before this group ruins the school.

Trisha was told she was getting the FACS job by Mr. Stice. Mr. Jackson decided to hire Cynthia Leninton instead. That is so wrong. The only good thing is she has to get off the board. Mr. Jackson is a real piece of work, he needs to go. He doesn't even back up the people he hired.

A board member was hired as a teacher how wrong is that? Why would the BOE hire people they paid to retire? There is something seriously wrong with the BOE and Jackson. We have to get those board members out so we can get Jackson out!

Why would the school board hire a person who has been in the school system for years? AND the school board wouldn't hire Cynthia last year for the FACS job. I think Jackson wants her off the Board or he just wants to piss the citizens of Sedan off even more or maybe both!

Thank God she's off the BOE. But she should really resign NOW. Not wait until Aug 14. What happened between now & last yr that she is so much better? They wouldn't hire her last year, but this year she's the only applicant so she's OK...?
Jackson needs to go.

I heard Jackson is also looking to get out. He created a mess now he is ready to go somewhere else. The BOE will get what they deserve for letting him do the things he has done.

Have any of you ran for a school board position? Have any of you called a school board member? Have any of you asked to set up a meeting with Mr. Stice or Mr. Jackson to discuss your concerns? Does anyone truly know the whole story about the hiring of the two newest positions? You know some things are kept confidential to protect the parties involved, kudos to the Administration for doing that even though they are getting bashed. Did anyone consider what is best for the students? Did you see the applicants? Where you sitting in on the interviews? Do you even know the individuals? People on this forum do not understand the role of the Superintendent or the School Board. It is a business having the most important customers of any business ever established. I have been on the Caney School Board for several years and currently have 'customers' in the Sedan school system. You have no idea how lucky you are to have qualified individuals that care about educating our youth instead of hiring someone because people like them. I like lots of people but most are not qualified accountants, they would not work here, they are not qualified. So many ignorant, uneducated comments. I've heard and been the recipient of all this before. Get your facts, ask questions, call, set up meetings, get involved in more ways than posting negative inaccurate comments.

What has he done? Please explain in detail. Make sure and include all repairs and necessary safety measures that have been initiated in your report. They are in the past minutes. Include all the financial situations that have been turned around from a mess he inherited from the past 'good ole boy administration' I believe I read those in the minutes also. Not sure what month.

Why would anyone take advice from you (David Deal) when you have made such a mess of the Caney School.

If you think Jackson and the board are doing what's best for students you're wrong. Ask a teacher. Any teacher. I have and all of them agree that Jackson and board are terrible leaders.

Sorry that some just don't see how bad it is at the school. The mentality is you keep your mouth shut or we will get rid of you. I know close friends that work there and one even went to the labor board over Jackson. Although he lied and made an ass of himself, he won and this person didn't get paid for vacation pay he earned. Not only did he lie about this person he bad mouthed his wife as well. He said that she didn't have a right to go to the school board president, stating that it was his school board president. I thought the Board works for the tax payers. So unless you walk in the shoes of those who work there you really don't know. Ask and they will tell you, because many are tired of the bull****.

You are so wrong about everything you just typed. Once again the 'good ole boy' scenario has come back to haunt Mr. Jackson. Did you know there were no written rules about who got what regarding retirement, vacation, or termination. The previous administration did as they damn well pleased and gave people anything they asked for. Pretty cool gig if you are the recipient. I know because guess what, I'm one of the recipients! I do know Jackson follows the State rules very closely and is in contact with the attorneys if there are any issues. Again, I know this because guess what, I asked and he provided the information. The school was losing money at an alarming rate because of misconceptions and poor practices. The Board has got to get things figured out and something written so people like the bus driver don't get anything they ask for. Worthless lazy people expecting something for nothing. Typical.
