I just talked to UPS and they said this is the only code they have for train problems. This time the engine broke down.( Do you think they have a spare?)

Get a load of THIS tracking trail. Package (clutch for my car) leaves CA, there is a "train derailment", then it goes from NY to NJ to NY to NJ and then to OHIO! I live in Brooklyn. UPS will not refund even a portion of the money I spent on shipping even though the package is arriving 3 days late. Meanwhile, my car sits in the mechanics lot and I sit on my butt at home. Infuriating!

Come on UPS. Give me my money back
Actually there really were train derailments. One of them was in Kettle Falls WA. Try using google search and your state or the states shipped through to get your updates. Not all derailments are big news outside of local. Internet search can work against you.

The train dereailment has affected UPS shipping. There were some kids killed in SC and the gov' has issued a mandated shut down and fix of all rails that do not meet certain requirments. Sucks big time, but what can you do?

The train wreck that killed 1 kid was a kids train ride in a park. it has nothing to do with anything having to do with real Rail roads. and you really should look at the dates this thread started it was 12/21/2007.

Lol, ups has been using "train derailment" as an excuse for years! There is no derailment at all. I'll explain the whole "derailment"&#82 03; excuse. Fed ex as well as UPS uses trains to transport packages but only so many cars are available. Every 3 years there is a bidding war to see who  takes priority. 2years ago Fed Ex won the contract. So all fed ex trailers get loaded on these trains first then UPS gets loader. If there aren't enough train cars to handle all the UPS trailers those trailers are imputed as train derailments.
