This is absolutely ridiculous! Her behavior is encourages at home. No well-balanced 6 year old with a stable home life... parents, discipline (not punishment)that leads to self-corrective behavior, and values would behave in this manner unless something is amiss. If the parents are "sue happy" then, i don't blame the school at all for calling the police since the parents aren't doing much on teaching the child how to behave and respect adults.

This happened in 2007. I often wonder what happened with this case. Did the parents try to sue? Did the child actually have to go to court? This story fell off the radar.

I have no problem with the child being spanked. I do however have a BIG problem with it being done by someone other than the parents. Maybe it's because I'm not from SC, but kicking the child out is the schools right, not touching the child. That's what should've happened. I am 42 yrs old I have never been spanked by a non family member, nor have I ever given permission for anyone to spank my child. That is MY job, not the schools.

What did happen with the case?
