life in cocoa

I wanted to know if if this is a safe place to live and I also wanted to know about Sharpes area and I also wanted to if the cost of living and the utilities are high.

Cocoa Beach and Cocoa are two different locations. Beach side is expensive. Cocoa is a dump. Sharpes and Port St. John are your best bets. Why the interest in this area?

DO NOT move to Cocoa. Cocoa Beach is great but expensive! Most of Cocoa is a dump but Cocoa Village is nice (can't live there, it's shopping). Sharpes is eh, nothing at all there. It will take you at least 30 minutes to get anywhere good. Viera, parts of Rockledge and Melbourne are okay. Titusville is dead but we have good fishing, beachlife and the National Seashore. Always something to do if you have a boat, water runner, or like outdoors stuff. Not sure what your hobbies are. Much luck in your decision.

You really don't want Cocoa, unless you don't mind living in a ghetto,drug town. Like Transplanted said, Titville is "dead", but it's an awesome place to raise kids. Good schools,not over ran with crime. The only issue with utilities,our water bill is a bit higher then the surrounding towns, but overall very affordable. GREAT BEACH! And the"not so dead" areas are a short drive. If its Brevard county your moving to,in my opinion Titusvill is the best choice!

I moved from Ashland to Cocoa Beach and love it. I would never move back.
