While this was likely the first negative mailing (and we received it), our house received a robo-call the other day before the mailing arrived. They did not identify who they supported or who was conducting the survey, but the descriptions of two Democratic candidates were negative. The recorded call asked if I was voting for Koster, Burner, DelBene or Ruderman.(No mention of Hobbs or Rauniyar; quite frankly I understand that Hobbs and Rayniyar are long-shots and likely not to break past single digits in he primary.) It gave no commentary for Republican Koster or Democrat Burner, but coined Ruderman as a Democratic fundraiser Ruderman and referred to millionaire DelBene. When I identified DelBene as my preference, it then hammered her with negative information, and then asked if I had changed my mind and if I know would likely vote for someone else. Since I said I would still vote for DelBene, the robo call ended. I should have selected someone else to see what would happen. I guessed that the call must have come from a group that supported Koster or Burner, but who knows for sure.
