While I think we can all agree that it's not OK to mutilate an innocent animal, I would just like to remind everybody that the whole article is based on what some lady claims she thinks happened to her dog. Just because allegations are printed in the paper doesn't mean that's what happened. People are charged with crimes they didn't do all the time because someone makes a false or reckless accusation. None of you know this kid so I'd reserve judgment until he actually is convicted or pleads guilty. If he's acquitted or the state drops the charges it probably won't even make the news.
