I guess Ruth's Chris took to long to figure out that if you charge someone $40 for a steak, maybe you should give them the sides for free instead of charging $9 for them.
What is all that money you charged people for side items doing for you now?

Offer a good product at a good price and people will patronize your business.

RC is OVERPRICED and a RIP OFF for all of the extra charges they add on. I have never understood why people pay such prices when with a little preparation and time you can do the same thing at home. Our society is probably going to have to rethink the way they spend their money in the coming years/generations. JMO

I know it is a steakhouse but try putting in a window or two, and you also might be able to see what you are doing wrong

I can go to Texas Roadhouse and enjoy a good steak. With sides all for less than 20 bucks. I'll stick with that.

My wife and I ate at a Ruth's Chris in March, 2000 after the company I worked for rewarded their IT department with dinner for 2 for Y2K work the previous year. That's the first and last time I'll ever go there.$165 for 2 steaks, sides, and a couple of cocktails each. That included a 15% gratuity as well. That was NINE years ago! I hate to think what that meal would cost today. Whenever I heard Sean Hannity blabbering about what a wonderful middle class establishment Ruth's Chris is and how often he eats there, I wondered what color the sky is in the world he's living in. It sure as hell isn't my world and we're solid middle class. Ruth's Chris found a niche market when there was plenty of money for people to throw around. Now that times have changed, there is absolutely no reason for any sane person to justify eating there. Ruth's Chris has to adapt to survive or die. It's probably too late for them to change to survive unless they have deep pockets.

Ruth Chris locations closing, I guess they couldn't get more United States Postal Service Managers 13 thousand dollar dinners. As soon as Congress raises the debt limit for the USPS to borrow more tax payer dollars, they will be back, hang in there Ruth Chris.

Stop being cheap! If you can't afford to eat there go eat at Burger King or something. You get what you pay for. if you want a $10 steak meal Ruth's is not the place for you.

I make delicious Hereford Filet Mignon's I buy at Fresh Market. Don't cost anywhere near $10 and I don't charge for sides.

I am not surprised to see Ruth Chris suffer closures. They are too out of sight priced for this recession economy.

RC is just an overrated and overpriced chain. ITs sort of a TGIFridays for people with delusions of grandeur. I'm surprised any are still in business.

Ruth's Chris is a RETARDED name. They need to rebrand.

I feel it's just a matter of time before this entire chain goes down the tubes. I agree with a previous posting--it's really a TGI Fridays for people who want to convince themselves they are dining in upscale (overpriced) restaurant.

Thick, juicy steaks are one reason Hannity looks so unhealthy, like death warmed over.
