Boy did that trip backfire. Most people never think when they leave our great homeland that anything like that could ever happen. In fact, I think most people feel a false sense of security that they are exempt from anything like that ever happening to them in another country. I will take our legal and justice system over another countries any day. I suppose an Italian jail would be better than say a mexican jail any day, but unless you know the language your living a solitary life anyway.
One thing to consider

" I will take our legal and justice system over another countries any day".

Our legal and judicial systems need reformed. They are both biased against males.

What a terrible waste of a person's life! And I wouldn't worry about her living a solitary life. By the time she gets out, I suspect she'll be fluent in Italian. What a waste!

firestoneneocon- i suspect you don't know much about any justice system. All need work and the issue with the Italian system is that they are too kind. That smug excuse for a human being is probably being treated better than her parents treated her- with meals that many here would spend $$$ for and nice fashion designed cell outfits.... and the girl she murdered? Think about her!! And her poor family....
And if stupid went to study the language as the program is designed and didn't go to Italy to slut around and get high, she might actually know the language
