I'm getting mixed messages here.... on one hand "we" needed the stimulus money because the economy was going to crumble without it. "shovel ready" projects were going to bring the economy back from disaster.

The economists are saying that Obama's economic plan is helping the economy to turn around. But, how can that be true if the money "has yet" to be spent on those "shovel ready" projects.

If the economy is turning around and most of the stimulus money has yet to be spent....

Did we need to spend the stimulus money in the first place?
