Horrible CPA. No morals, integrity, or decency. I am a sales person, so I understand there is a target market. However, Lonnie Avery makes you feel unworthy. He laughed at me, discriminated against my age and profession, and told me to call him when I make $500,000 a year like himself, and then he would like to talk about money. If you are in need of a CPA, please take your money elsewhere.

Having had the pleasure of working with Lonnie for a number of years on a wide variety of projects within his business practice as well as my own; The man knows his stuff. Its clear by reading the previous review that he is the emotional sensitive type that needs coddling and TLC. Lonnie is not the man for that job, your Mom is.

Lonnie knows his stuff when it comes to matters of money, taxes and how to best maximize your financial position and limit your liability and loss. He is not a soft spoken wall flower and has a larger than life boastful personality that can come across as arrogant and boastful, which some people may not love but your not looking for your soul mate your looking for help with money and taxes.

As for me, I like my CPA's with bragging rights and a portfolio to substantiate it. May not be for everyone (or those who don't have reasonable sized assets to work with) but if money is the topic, hes your man. I am a Former Business Associate and limited client of several years and would return to him when my situation again calls for a professional.

Lonnie Avery is a shaman. He'll charm the pants off you initially, but don't be misled. When the IRS caught a mistake he made on our return he blamed us. In discussion on the issue he made insulting remarks and was stupid enough to put them in email. In response to our complaint to the Accountancy Board he admitted sharing our personal information with a third party. The best news is that our Financial Advisor no longer refers clients to him based on his lies, his arrogance, shameless self-righteousness, and general incompetence. Stay away folks and remain happy.

Anyone who thinks Lonnie will stand up for them in an IRS audit is in for a rude shock. You will be accused (erroneously and inappropriately) of not following his advice for starters and possibly not sharing all your information. The man is a greedy non-professional one-man band who leaves most of the work to others and doesn't check their work thoroughly.

Run, don't walk away.

Isn't it great that people like the above can live in the shadows and never post a name. This person clearly does not understand libel.
The above comment is a lie. I give all people due respect. My 40 year track record speaks for itself. As a partner with KPMG, I rank in the upper 3% of the world amount CPA's.
See the honest post below.

This lady is an interior designer and her husband works for Microsoft from Australia. She wanted me to take tax positions that were clearly illegal. I invited her to leave my practice. She was also angry that my associate also gave her the boot.

She and her husband filed a complaint with my licensing body. After 40 years of a pristine record, I found an unscrupulous client. The Washington licensing board found her claim to be without merit and found in my favor.

I encourage all honest people to avoid them.

This is a person who called me from the Yellow Pages. He became incensed that I declined to take him as a client. He gave me the "F Bomb" and hung up the telephone since I would not accept him as a client.

Can you see whay I rejected him. In retrospect, I am very pleased that my judgement lead me to say "no" to him. My guess is that other CPA's may have also rejected him.

In the CPA industry, we are expected to have cleint acceptance criteria. This person obviously, did not meet my acceptance criteria. It was not about money. It was about his belligerent demeaner which is evident in his comments about me gleaned from a 3 minute telephone conversation. This person was never a client and never came to my office. I am repulsed by his behaviour and his unjustified comments. I am very happy I never met this person.

This former client and associate states what all of my other clients know to be the truth.

There is only one person in the world who has filed a complaint against me. I did not admit any gilt and their complaint was rejected.

This facts of this post can only be from from Gail and/or Warren Dent. They left my CPA practice after 2006. This post is dated in April 2012. Now, they chose to slander and libel me after about 6 years. I feel sorry for them. Things may not be going well for them.

I saw in Warren's blog that he was layed off by Microsoft in June 2009. I am not surprised. His last blog post as of this date was August 2012. I am not sure if he has found another job but his blog speaks of him having difficulty finding a job.

The 3rd party she references in her rant was the corporate bookkeeper working with me on the business accounts. Yes, a CPA and the bookkeeper working on Gail's small business records together at Gail's request and communicating as financial professionals should. Can you see why Gail lost this frivolous complaint? It is impossible for me to work on a client's financial and tax issues without communicating with the business bookkeeper. Gail requested such coordination.

For the record, if they want to persist in their lies, I would be happy to debate the facts of their alligations with them and any one they choose to bring to the discussion. The facts and my records will incriminate them severly. This is a topic they should not want to discuss honestly. Despite their venom and inmature behavior, I have been vindicated by my CPA peers. Many of my CPA peers want nothing to do with clients of this character.

It is true that Gail Dent did try to get my friend, client and financial advisor to "bad mouth" me also. I am happy to report he is still my client, friend and financial advisor. Most importantly, this smart financial advisor still uses me as his personal and business CPA because of my tax, financial and business expertise. Sorry, your comments are still untrue.

The reader of this post is welcome to judge the writer's character. I have judged their character and chosen to get away from them. I thought after 6 years they would be out of my life.

If continuing slander or libel are pursued, I will allow my attorney to handle this matter.
