An area with ineffective legal counsel is an incompetent physician's dream come true. Lawyers are, or should be, the shepherds of our communities. Bad doctors would naturally gravitate toward an area said lacking.

I would highly recommend these three things:

1. Stay as far away from Carla Fuller as you can get. She has no interest in your case but only to get your money.

2. Research your attorneys.

3. I highly recommend Marcia Barnes out of Little Rock. Google her. She is expensive but well worth it. She is also (or was two years ago) voted the #1 Family attorney in the state of Arkansas.

Mark Pate?? Jimmy Simpson??? Are you serious? Even Jimmy's friends will tell you that he is a horrible Family attorney. He's a great real estate and business attorney, but Family? NO! Research it people! I've heard decent things about Hughes, but the other two...No Way!

I say just go pro se. You'd be better off. Represent yourself. lol. It's cheaper and you won't have to worry about being screwed. Just joking.

Who would you recommend a man use for a divorce lawyer in Searcy and why?
I don't think a lawyer exist that can win a divorce settlement for a man no matter how wicked your soon-to-be ex may be. Just sayin'.

DO NOT use a local attorney. Your attorney will play a few rounds of golf with your ex's attorney and that is how your case will be decided!!(if both lawyers are local). Go to an out of town attorney. At least you have a better chance of a "fair" decision. If there is such a thing in divorce. Divorce is just plain hard to deal with. I wish you luck.
been there done that

In my opinion.. if you want a lawyer to fight nasty for you... get robert hudgins.. he can get the job done.. Red Morgan is expensive but works hard for ladies.. Mark Pate.. is a good man and very smart attorney. Paul Petty.. not so impressed by his work.. seen it. Carla Fuller.. well she is .. if motivated properly a good attorney.. she is way over loaded... and Penny Choate.. did not win.. then wanted to drop me as a client.. after she got paid. Mark Derrick.. I think he moved on.. but he was decent and inexpensive.. compared to most..
