I was voicing my opinion based on the headline.. And plus, I've always heard that the city of Searcy is so crooked.. Not the officer, I'm just talking about things in general.
So your opinion is not based on any of the facts presented, obviously.

Of course not, if they based their opinion on facts it would make sense.

Wrong. The headline says "Accident injures Searcy police officer." That's a fact. So basically, it was the way that I read it that made me form my opinion on the matter. Still a fact though. He was injured. Nice try though, "police". Go eat a donut.

Would you prefer they lie and say he was not injured? The story clearly said the girl was just sitting at a stoplight when it happened. Your last comment shows that your opinion was driven by nothing more than bigotry against law enforcement.

Im pretty sure everyone eats donuts from time to time not just police. So donuts have nothing to do with being a cop.

All this troopers got em video. I was pulled over and arrested for disorder conduct cause I put my finger in his face. He threw me on the ground and pushed my face onto the road and cut my eye. That got played in court and I still got community service and 800 dollars fine. Fat pig! I got another finger for all cops. It's dat middle one piggies!!!
I'm married to an officer, and what u say about them effects me too. I'm sure if any of your loves ones were out with a stranger and they put their fingers in their face u would act just as the officer did. Actions create reactions. Act grown and respectful and you wouldn't be thrown down. On the ground and in court. And giving the middle finger will get u a fine too. Just try it.:)

The 2nd U.S. Court of Appeals recently overturned a New York man's conviction for giving a cop the finger and said the man can sue for malicious prosecution. Cops, including your husband, deserve respect but they are not above the law, even in Arkansas.

Old Army you are right in what you said. But I think that's a big part of what's wrong with where we are headed in the U.S. There are some bad police officers but only a very very few. Kids these days don't even respect their parents so why would anyone think they would respect a Police Officer. A belt to the butt never hurt me and I would never even think of giving a Police Officer the finger. I can't stand the site of Obama but I respect this position. Same for a Police Officer. You my not like them but you should be taught to respect them unless one gives you a reason not to. This is not a slam at you Old Army and I sure as heck don't agree with you on a lot of thinks you post but I do respect your opinion.

In ANYTHING, there is good & there is bad. Police officers are no different. Weeding out the bad ones is a good thing. I know several that are wonderful people who love their jobs for the right reasons & love when they actually get to help ppl.
