Until any of you have worked as a cop, don't judge them. I agree that their are some that are less than professional but you can't hold them all responsible because of it. Some are a great asset & do their job for way less $ than they deserve.

Not sure who is who in the wreck but one trooper passed me and my family going west on pleasure with those blue lights on and a siren. I then watched that trooper pass the other trooper that had nothing on. That trooper turned left directly in front of the Trooper that had his lights on. How the other cop did not see those flashing lights coming is beyond me. Can't believe the cops are even alive really. Glad to hear both are alive. Sad to read that all of u are not supportive of our local and state officers. The paper also said the troopers were responding to the kidnapping of that girl. If my kids are taken I really hope that cops are that eager to save them and catch the bad guy. So sad to see you all pointing fingers and talking badly about the cops and not one bad thing said about the man who kidnapped the girl. What is wrong with u all? Has these cops around here personally attacked u or caused u problems other than probably writing a few of u tickets and doing their job? I just got a ticket last week for no seat belt. I hate seat belts but I understand the officer has a job to do. All of u need to
relax and stop being so rude and mean. No excuse or reason for it that I can
see. I am betting none of u were there.
They are supposed to maintain control and use good judgement even in emergency situations... There is in most cases other lives at stake as well.. The one running over the other one was carelessness ,simple fact!

In the daily citizen this morning, there was a story on the front page about this accident. "Searcy police officer injured in wreck" (that may not have been the EXACT wording, but you catch my drift) anyways, the police officer was at fault but the way it was written almost made it sound like the blame was being placed on the girl. Dirty.

From the story: "A GMC Yukon driven by Emily Hays, 22, of Judsonia, was stopped at a light on the 3200 block of Race Avenue at around 5:50 p.m. Thursday when it was struck from behind by an unmarked detective vehicle driven by Lt. Roger Pearson, 45."

How is that making it seem like it's the girl's fault?

I was voicing my opinion based on the headline.. And plus, I've always heard that the city of Searcy is so crooked.. Not the officer, I'm just talking about things in general.
