It's projected to go from the hue 13 exit in McRae run up honey hill cross 36 go to Collins road connect to holmes rd go up fairview down jonhston to main down to by pass rd then on cw to exit 48 that is rough idea of what it is suppose to do when it is done now they may build new roads and leave the existing ones alone
I live close to Holmes rd. I think it is great !

I live on Holmes Rd and it sounds like a terrible idea to me. I hope it does not go through. So many if the areas you mentioned are very rural roads. I don't want to go through all of road construction and I don't want all the traffic going through our neighborhoods.

Well if u live on holmes rd then u know how very narrow it is which makes it dangerous. The 20 miles an hour is pitiful, which I know is because the narrow roads. It's time for improvements ! Lots of traffic is already using holmes as a cut threw so why not make it better and safer !

Sorry...we will have to agree to disagree...I like things the way they are. Yes there is already a lot of traffic, but make it a bypass and the traffic will triple.

I agree with u. I use holmes road all the time and with school traffic it's already hard enough to get thru Ella and holmes I couldn't imagine doubling the traffic or tripling it ugh.
Anyone know?

Try the Hwy Dept web-site. The south connector to that bypass effects my area and I was able to find the maps on the AHTD web-site. I don't think possible routes have been set for the North Bypass, so far they've only narrowed it down to a specific area. I maybe wrong about how far they've gotten. I actually saw the area map not long ago, so it's available some where.

How will it connect to highway 13? That is in McRae right? Will there be a new road or will people just use 267?

Hwy 13 is being extended to hwy 36. I think the "north bypass" will start at hwy 36.

I agree. I just wonder who stands to get rich off this, because no one wants it. I have yet to say something in a room full of people where anyone says they support it. Who is supporting this? They must be really influential.

I have to agree with you. There are only a handful of people that want this by-pass. Someone stands to gain a lot of money or something. I just don't recognize the benefits they want us to see so badly. It just doesn't sound right.
Just sayin

If you live on Holmes Rd. I wouldn't really consider that a neighborhood. You live on a street. And I pretty sure you realize that it's one of the
Main streets used to get to the school so the traffic is already there. That road needs to be widened in a bad way. I'm sure you were all for the stop light well from we're I live I wasn't because it has cause several problems coming and going out of my neighborhood. But it is what it is and I have to deal with it. Now I am excited about the bypass. Sorry if it inconvenience for you.
