Oh my. Was this the Kyle Reeves that ran for Mayor son? A runaway not a kidnapping? They had all the cops and the state police helicopter out searching for the Reeves kid all night long.

Yes a RUNAWAY!!!! Kid came home when cops left. Parents are idiots! Got in the way more than anything. Kid was pissed cause his iPhone was taken away from him so he left. I would not elect that guy to clean a public restroom.

Well well well... Another child that had a "solution" to their problems by running away. Why? Because they didn't like their parent's choice of discipline. They took the phone?? So they took away a PRIVILEGE!
Where r we failing that kids find that so horrible that they'd choose running away to be better??

You people act like when u was a kid that running away was never in the back of your mind. Come on, get real... I ran away once and my parents had police lookin, and I hid in the woods for 17 hours.. It wasn't that I wanted to leave forever, just long enough to make my parents to think I was serious. And the reason for me running away was silly, they wouldn't let me play with water balloons that day.... Me and my neighbor. I was 12.. It's not that the parents don't have the lack of control. I'm sure if your kids really wanted to runaway they could find a way. It's not hard?? You guys are being kinda silly jumping on this kids parents..

Just saying they were a hindrance to the search. I care less why the kid left. Not my business but stay out of the way and let us do our job and find the kid instead of having some dumb house dogs out trying to smell for the kid. Have some common sense!

Ungrateful little bastard. My mother would have slapped me in the face with a damn cinderblock if I pulled some shit like that. Someone should hit him and hit parents in the face with a damn cinderblock.

Sounds to me as if they WERE disciplining him. They used a discipline technique, didn't they! Minor, but at least the initiative was taken!!! My child threatened running away, I told him go ahead, you'll get hungary eventually! And also told him that if he did, he couldn't take anything with him except the clothes on his back, and he'd be lucky if I let him take his $140 pair of shoes on his feet!! And if I found out he took anything else with him, I'd get him for theft of property!! He informed me that he paid for his X-box, so he could, I again told him sorry, but nope, it stayed too! My electricity paid for that thing to run the last few months, so I'd just keep it here for payment due to me! Lol he got furious, I then told him UNTIL HE TURNS 18, and moved on his own, everything that is his actually belongs to me!! I choose whether he takes a sock or toothbrush, etc. out of my home without my consent!! I guess he chose to keep his belongings, and to this day (now 18) he still sits up at my table and takes nourishment!! Lol he realized, not only would he get his ace whipped when he was found, but this running away wasn't such a good option.. X-box did some talking I suppose!!!:-)

I use to tell my children that I would help them pack. They were only like 7-9 at that time. They never left so I guess I scared them anyway when they thought it wouldn't bother me. They decided to stay just so they could punish me. Lol
