I very Much agree. The Need of that Type of service is greatly needed in the Abq area .If it was Leagle as it is in Sparks ,Reno ,Nevada this would not be a problem

A perfect prescription that helps in the downfall of our society. Illicit sex, drugs, child abuse and throw a murder here and there. Disgusting. When is the TV show COPS coming back to ABQ? Petition your city officials to bring it back.

I agree that out sourcing prostitutes may not be a bad thing considering if they are doing it safely and such.

The typical drug losers(crack/meth) in Albuquerque who are prostitutes aren't of good quality or taste but I can't say if they ever are or not from total lack of experience. I'm sure half the entire city would love younger UNM quality ladies but we'd have to see if the economy keeps slipping and allows that to happen..

Prostitution is a misdemeanor crime. NM State Statutes require an officer to witness this offense before he can make an arrest.

If he doesn't witness it; but, has enough probable cause for an arrest, he can obtain arrest warrants for the suspects. They still have to go to court as if they were arrested. Felony crimes are different. It's less of a hassle to arrest a suspected felon.

It's a simple mistake and who hasn't made those in their careers? It's not like they blew a homicide. Lighten up folks.

By the way, guilty or not, your mug shot is public record. It's not a crime to publish it.

Maybe New Mexico can use that new Human Trafficing Law go after the leader of the flock (Pimp) or go Federal on this case as state lines were crossed?

So are you saying that the second a case has a flaw, the DA is supposed to give up? Many cases have flaws, but also have other evidence that convicts. I would rather have a DA continue to try to convict rather than give up when there's a flaw. I would think the worst DA in the country would give up on cases as you suggest they do.

Do not even think I am for this or against it but if they made prostitution legal, required the girls to have blood test monthly and pay a business tax it would clean up those who do it for drug money.

And it would do away with the pimps who beat the girls up to keep them inline and take the money and worst.

Oh and one was smiling on her mug short, think Santa Fe DA will ask for hers to be retaken?

No one gets hurt with this type of business, the guys pay for a service, the gals provide it and all go away happy, so what crime was committed?

The informant probably asked for a quickie and that blew the case!

Now if the cop must witness the crime then simply handing over the money means no crime was committed, no sex act was preformed so what did he witness, an envelope changing hands?

The way the law is written if the cop must witness it then both must actually be having sex. That would void any arrest as he would be a willing partner with the girl.

Keystone kops are their finest, or is it their dumbest?

Nothing like you backwards idiotic and pious dimwits continuing to post the images of people who have been cleared of wrongdoing as if they are legally criminals. The case got kicked because the enforcers screwed up! Show the idiots that screwed up the case, they're the guilty ones!!! Fascist simpletons! You should face FCC complaint and fine for your lack of professionalism!!! I can't wait to see the owners of the station on other news outlets for the failures they've made in their lives... like conspiracy to defraud the public of access to public airwaves, or something of that vein. Get your act together or get out of the business!!! You lose the right to present people as criminals when the crime can no longer be proven!!! JERKS!!!
You are only standing up for these girls cuz your probably trying to score a freebie!

Well, what a lovely looking group of hookers. Since APD dropped the ball on this one, maybe they can
take the girls to the FOP for a few drinks and fun.

If Hookers and Pimps were convicted in this state, half the legislature and judges would be in jail, and half the state employees would b outta work.

Cannot APD go after the REAL criminals that burglarize homes and kill people instead of trying to bust these women? I guess this is easier than facing someone who has a gun. We have so much REAL crime and they waste their time on this. Let's get a new police chief who can do the job.

once agin, APD is barely qualified to locate and prosecute misdemeanors (couldnt quite rise to the occasion here), NOT real crimes like murder, armed robbery, rape, etc.

APD is only capable - and paid off - to harrass innocent people.
