What happened with the Russian sub?

I was listening on my police scanner about water coming in on that Russian sub down by the Queen Mary and suddenly it went quiet. Couldn't get all the details but see nothing in the paper about this. Anyone know anything about this?

It took on water and sunk. Didn't you see it on the news?

It was kind of sad seeing just the mast sitting above water. You'd think the thing would have a pump.

This thing was a rust bucket since day one. Will they get rid of this eye sore?

How come there is nothing on the internet about this? All I see is advertisement for tourism but what is to be toured? The water? What tourism does Long Beach really have to offer?

I think there's more important things going on in the news besides some old russian sub sinking next to the queen mary. You wouldn't even notice it sunk if you didn't know it was there before. Nothing but a periscope sticking out of the water now.

What's the big deal? Submarines are SUPPOSED to submerge....but not by filling the interior with water! That's called sinking, and it's a one-way trip to the bottom. The sub's owners should now buy a glass-bottom boat and take people to see the sunken Russian sub.

I always thought they should partially sink the Queen Mary. Put a hole in her bow, let the front end go down, and build a cool water slide, so it would be like you're on the Titanic. They could rent wet suits that look like tuxedos, give the tourists a rubber top hat, and let 'em go to their destiny-of FUN!
