CNN and BBC made daily international reports focusing on the expense and risk of using the Ports of LA and LB. The cost to Port customers of 800 million for each of the 8 days will be an advertizing bonanza to every other Port in the Nation, Canada, and Mexico who can use to entice the many Customers who lost billions due to the Strikes at our Ports.
The Port Unions are in great shape. Our elected officials don't represent Business in California and most don't even understand basic Economic issues. Most of their political campaigns are funded by the Unions. The Businesses are screwed as they don't have a Union so the Unions should be free to stop all Port freight movement at will no matter how awful the impact.
Luckily, LA County politicians don't value the thousands of non union jobs which depend on the Ports. We are fortunate that our City, County, and State don't need the Tax revenues generated by the Port and are more than willing to see Port traffic dramatically decline as customers make more economically sound choices to avoid the Risk of doing business in L.A. County.
Go Unions. We will make a killing no matter what happens to everything and every one else in L.A. County.
