I believe the man should stay n prison..or get killed he took 3 lives...3 moms, 3 teachers, 3 friends, 3 companions, 3 neighbors, 3 aunts, 3 sisters, 3 cousin, and all the asshole got was 2 years..im so angry for the families of these 3 wonderful teachers...that man will serve 2 years ....wow...he'll still have his life...and in a couple of years he'll forget what he did..shame on those who allowed this to happen..

My family and I have tried really hard NOT to find out what was going to happen to Medina simply because we know that it will not matter, but I never thought he would go unpunished!!

My sister was Veronica Flores, one of the three teachers this man killed. I understand that it was an "accident," but it was an accident that could have been avoided. We all heard the story, and we all know that HE ran a stop sign. When it comes down to it he is fully responsible for the accident! I'm not suggesting that he should be thrown in jail forever because I know no amount of time will ever bring my sister, Rosie, or Marina back but 2 YEARS, AND NO FINE!!! That is a slap in the families faces. I am trying hard NOT to hate him for taking my sister, but everyday I see my nieces, it gets harder and harder. This man has not shown any remorse, he has NEVER apologized to anybody. A simple "I feel bad for what happened" would make a world of difference....

( Veronica Flores was my sister and Roise Garza was a friend and my child's teacher ) Our family has tried very hard not to judge Medina for what he did because we know that he did not wake up that morning with the intention of causeing harm to anyone, but the fact that he has yet to apologize to anybody is slap in the face. Now as a family we get another slap in the face by our so called JUSTICE SYSTEM because Medina only get 2 years. That means what the my sisters life and the other two teachers are only worth 8 months of his time. I just don't understand how that can be called JUSTICE.

VERONICA FLORES WAS MY GODDAUGHTER, & MARINA WAS A MEMBER OF OUR CHURCH. I STILL GET VERY ANGRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. I KNOW MEDINA DIDN'T SET OUT TO KILL ANYONE. NOBODY DOES. BUT WHEN HE SAW THE STOP SIGN & HE CHOSE TO DISREGARD IT & KEEP GOING, THEN HE DID DELIBERATELY CAUSE THE ACCIDENT. HE KNEW THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY THAT SOMEONE MAY BE COMING DOWN THE ROAD & HE CHOSE TO PROCEED THROUGH IT ANYWAY. 2 YEARS IS A SLAP IN THE FACE. NOTHING WILL BRING BACK THOSE 3 WONDERFUL LADIES, BUT HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ALOT MORE TIME. YOU CAN GET 1 TO 2 YRS TIME FOR A DWI, BUT IF YOU KILL 3 PEOPLE YOU ONLY GET 2 YRS. THAT'S BULL!!!!!

Besides the fact that our justice system is completely broken (nationwide) I have the feeling that there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye.

For example, the reason for such leniency could be:

1. Perp was Hispanic and judge didn't want to be accused of racism

2. It was a Hispanic killings Hispanics.

3. Laws in Texas seem downright weird sometimes.

4. Judge was up for relection?

5. Driver had a better lawyer than victims?

6. Homicide in general is no big deal in our society unless the victim is important.

To Leo,, I really dont think being Hispanic has anything to do with this whatsoever!, Yes the man screwed-up, Yes he killed people that everyone here locally knew! I have seen the crosses on the road! And my heart goes out to all the families involved! Yes the man should have gotten more time! And at least apologized to the families involved, But being hispanic??? thats bullsh_t!!!
They were people who were loved by all!!!
