Recently Renovated Tackapausha Museum May Face Budget Ax
Just three weeks after an announcment that renovations to theA A Tackapausha Preserve and Museum are almost done, Nassau County is seriously considering closing the museum on the border of Massapequa and Seaford.

Funny how they spend all this money to revamp the place then they want to close it. According to Dennis Dunn they will also stop maintaining the grounds. So now not only will it be closed it will look like crap!

Close it, no one goes to the Museum.Few classes here and there it is a waist of tax $.Build more section 8 homes.

The renovations were not county funds. A grant covered the costs of these last renovations but... if they have to cut costs, they should close it. This isn't a major museum and the building could be used in another way and the position of the director and all who work there could easily save the tax payer's money. The museum is really unnecessary.

Tacka was $25 in the 70's I think maybe 200 people went there in 10 years. Sad Tacka never improved.
