Nothing heroic??? How many times have you put your life on the line. You are real "heroic" behind your keyboard. That was a disgusting comment. He could have done nothing.... He chose to try to help. Its resl easy to throw stupid comments out anonomously

how was he helping?
noone needed to die and wouldnt have is he stayed out of the action.
he could have been a live dad instead of a dead "hero".

If no one acts to stop criminals, anarchy reigns, and we all lose.

what was he going to do shoot the criminal dead?
anarchy is not a bye product of bystanders taking action or not.
anarchy is a mind set. This tragedy had nothing to do with anarchy.
thank heaven the hero didnt kill anyone.

What I find interssting here is you seem to bamr the heroic Cop instead of the career criminal drug addict for the loss of life. And incase you havent read the articles people in the store went lookimg for help. They even went into the deli next door because they knew there was police in there. Fact remains he was trying to get the CRIMINAL and he became the victim. The fault here is the robber not him

trying to get the criminal?
why?
noone was hurt?
he risked his life for no reason and another wannabe hero killed him.
if only the criminal and active police had guns all would have ended ok.
he is not a hero in my book.
i feel for his family.
maybe other retired cops will learn from this tragedy.

Low life.

No one was hurt THIS TIME, how long before that criminal turned into another David Laffer.

You are a troll Dave, you do know what that is, you come into a thread like this or create one just to annoy people. Likely because you are miserable and you want to drag others down with you. You are likely a head case that everyone avoids including your family. Probably a 40 year old virgin who has never had a girlfriend and has no hope of ever having one.

It is the only explanation why you would come in here and say these hateful things that could be read by his friends and family.

Ignore the troll people, if you feed a troll, he just keeps popping back up. His type are all over the internet, one of the big negatives. No one would ever know who he was and he would die a lonely, virgin death if it wasn't for the internet. Now he will just die a virgin troll.

noone was hurt YET but a career criminal possibly high on drugs at the time was about to go out onto a busy street where kids and other innocent people were, Its a sin that the police officer died and a bigger sin that he was let out of jail in August to go out AND JUST GO RIGHT BACK TO DOING WHAT HE DID BEST STEALING
