Rock N Roll Icon MARK FARNER in concert- formerly of Grand Funk Railroad "Were An American Band", "Bad Time", "The Locomotion", "Closer To Home/ I'm Your Captain", "Shinin On", "Some Kind Of Wonderful", "Into The Sun", etc... In 1970 as the lead singer, guitarist/ songwriter of GFR, Mark Farner performed at Shea Stadium. The concert broke all attendence records for any rock concert in history at the time including The Beatles. Long Island Favorite Band THE MYSTIC celebrating their 20th Anniversary will open the concert. No Tickets necessary. Free outdoors, all ages rock concert, bring the entire family. Produced by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano in association with Brian Rosenberg.
