vote no on bond

La Porte, TX

#1 Mar 25, 2014
Hey at the LPISD board meeting tonight 03-25-14 they passed an item to set up places for early voting for the BOND ; They are going to have voting at the schools in the hallways and other places on campus. On the face this looks crooked; It is like letting voters vote at the Democratic headquarters.
By the way the 1/2 billion dollar bond will raise property taxes $250 PER HOUSE UP TO $10,000 PER PROPERTY.

Passing this bond will just result in more consulting fees, campaign donations and bribes being deposited into the coffers of the corruption on city council and controlling the City of La Porte.

LPISD is NOT the City of LaPorte. Did you even read the post before answering?

But schools built within the city would have to get permitting, Elaine.

Shhh! The fewer people that know about the school bond and vote, the bigger the chances "it" will pass because what's important is that those that will benefit know and vote YES. Let's remember that it only takes a few YES votes as long as there are fewer NO votes.

$260,000 would actually be closer to 1/4 billion, not 1/2 a billion. Not trying to start anything, but lets not over-hype this ...

However, we owe over 260 million through 2024 on the previous bond issue. That will make it well over 1/2 billion if the new bond issue were to pass. What does that amount to per student?

Ouch, the state average is 14,500. That is crazy. On that alone I am voting no until we pay the last one off. Baytown did about the same size bone last year but they are about 2-3 times the size of la Porte. Much of their bond went top date technology. I still can't find what they want to spend this one on.....anyone have a site to find this

you can get the details off the LPISD web site.. They gave the details Tuesday at the board meeting but basically this is it. Complete remodel of the high school and 3 other schools.Get the draft minutes if they are ready. All thing that make idols to the school leaders. MR Graham AKA Rob Ford look alike is putting more feathers in his big hat. They have the vote rigged by putting voting machines in the schools.

If you care about your children and the schools they attend; if you want your children to have the best in technology and tools for learning; if you feel it is important to have safe environments for your children to learn in...it is very simple...vote YES.
The bond will raise taxes on average approximately $12 per month on your property...small price to pay, in my opinion.

This is totally false;Property taxes will go up $1500 per year per household. Nothing proposed to be done with the millions f $$ of bond money will bring the education level out of the gutter where it is NOW. La Porte is 48th lowest rated school out of the 50 states. But they have the athletics and edifices 2nd to none the school board members brag.

If you really care about your children's safety and education you will home school them. Everyone knows how dangerous all public schools are.Remember columbine and Newtown.

Public schools are for future servants of America.

They teach only submission, conformity and memorization.

They don't teach you how to think on your own or outside the box.

If you want your child to work for someone else their entire life... send them to public school.

Government should pay YOU to send your child there.

I only wish I had dropped out sooner.

I wasted years of my life jumping through hoops.

That time would have been much better served educating myself.

I don't run anywhere... and I don't run from anyone or anything.

I stand up against those who serve money first.

I stand up against corruption.

That's why they have spent six years lying, charging me with bullshit charges and filing bullshit lawsuits.

I have beat them at every turn... and I will continue to do so.
