After criticizing me for not being to read, you comment on my post with a statement that shows absolutely no contradiction nor agreement to what I said, you just replied with a mindless, Russia is smarter. Please actually read my post or should we increase education spending so at least your kids can.
GOTP, Defiant 1,YallareFunny, Texan, etc., is arguing with herself (Elaine), I see. Distracting from Abortion Barbie's stance much?

I wasn't contradicting you. Just drawing a contrast. Other countries spend a fraction of what Texas, alone, spends. Yet they score better. They prove that more money does not make better educations.

Now go back and read your first sentence, above.

You say Wendy can't be elected!! I know someone who can: Julian Castro, the mayor of SanAntonio. I am very impressed by him and anyone who can manage SanAntonio can manage Texas. The only problem is that the Governor of Texas has far less power than the Mayor of SanAntonio. His twin brother is a US representative from SanAntonio.
Hey Lufkin! I still haven't figured out why you come to LaPorte Topix but...
NO WAY IN HELL CAN WENDY BE ELECTED in Texas...if she goes up north she would be a shoe-in!
I'm sorry to say your statement on a mayor vs. the governor is full of CRAP! You HAVE to be a democrat, probably just above the poverty line and used to welfare.
Yes, I have property in and out of Lufkin and know a few indigents up there, just sayin'!
I'm really not trying to rub your nose in it, just go get a room with GOAT, you'll both be happier!

Whoa, Saltwater, hold on now. You haven't posted once on this topic so how could you be drawing a contrast? Did you forget to log in as Elaine?

True other countries spend a fraction, so money does not necessarily make for better education, but we must also look at the very issues of where the money is going. Education in Texas is severely underfunded when you consider 40% of the funding goes to non-academic items.

Then, perhaps Texas needs to spend less on non-academic costs. But, don't forget, those aren't 3rd world countries ahead of us. Russians have school busses too.

Texan no other, I'm no where near crazy enough to talk to and answer myself. I mean really, what would be the point? I don't know if Davis has a shot at winning, but she has damn sure got the attention of the GOP. I don't believe they are as sure as you are that she has no chance.

The lesbians will vote for Wendy. But the 88% of Christian women will vote against abortion.

Late-term abortions are not for Texas. Remember what Wendy stood for!

Read her quotes on abortion. She is suddenly very non-committal on abortion. It's all about "women's health care" now.

Who went dressed up as Wendy Davis last night for Halloween? I did. I wore pink tennies, glued a wart to my face and carried a doll that was missing a couple of limbs.

Don't let her distance herself from what made her a household name.
