I would try to fight someone too so I don't believe he was in the wrong. So before you bash the owner get the f@#+ing facts.
I loved my job there and I left for my own personal reasons. I'll admit some if my co workers weren't the best at their job but they tried Damn hard to please people that just weren't going to be happy.
Servers do make 2.13 an hour. We live off of your tips. If you tip 15% then we're only getting 11% of that. Say we make 100 dollars in typos. We tip out 4% of our sales, not out tips, to the bussers. If we don't get anything then we are paying on your food. Think about that when you go easy because some of us have kids and it's your fault we can't afford things. Unless we are just downright terrible. If you don't like the service then let your server know what they can do better rather than come bash them on a review of the restaurant. We servers need some criticism at times so we can improve your experience at that establishment.

I have worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years and I'm sorry to say that no matter how hard all employees try sometimes the service just can't be perfect becuz too many things factor into the equation from the moment a customer walks in the front door and gets greeted to how fast they receive something to drink to how friendly there server may be (yes us servers no matter how hard we try we sometimes have a bad day too) We may not always get it right but bet that we sure try our hardest becuz we do work very hard for $2.13 an hour! So our livelihoods depend on giving everyone GREAT setvice......so if u go into Southern Komfort and have 1 bad experience cmon back and give it 1 more try....

The food here is not to bad considering not a lot of restaurant choices in the area. Wait staff has never been up to par!!! You either have to go get your own refills, food orders most of the time are wrong, salads, at times, can arrive after you have eaten your meal, OR they over compensate by having the wait staff hang around with idle chit chat during the entire course of the meal. Especially flirting with any or all men at the table to ensure a greater tip (yes, we've been told that). We would frequent this place more often but the service is consistently horrible! You can hire good servers. We have gone to Jimmy Changas so many times I can't count. Never have we ever had bad service there. We asked about this, i.e. how/why so consistently good. Answer was, they take extra precaution in WHO they hire! I'd truly like to see their wait staff improve, we would surely go more often. Someone needs classes in hiring people and or management skills. P.S. For the trolls that use topix as their game territory, I am not interested in your trolling. I am merely trying to help the establishment improve, we all win then.

You hit the nail on the head. They are much better than Kelley's, but I wouldn't go there today and subject myself to the bad service. Been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

Better than ever!! There is a waiting list lunch and dinner just about everyday of the week now, Great Food, Great Service, and Great atmosphere!!
