This is a huge hassle for homeowners. I can't leave the placard in my window all the time because it reflects up into the windshield so I have it on my center console in the car. It didn't make it in the window this weekend and I got a $48 ticket. I own a house in Point Pleasant Beach. I try to park on the street to prevent the visitors and all of their trash from parking in front of our house. And yet I get the overnight parking ticket while visitors cram into the smallest spaces and hang well over the white lines which should be deserving of a ticket and usually doesn't result in one! If the cops would just ticket the offending visitors there would be no need for the revenue of overnight parking tickets. This isn't to protect us against drunks and rowdiness, this is about revenue.
