First of all, I actually like Scottie's Exxon. They are generally the best place to buy gas and snacks around here. However, yesterday I was allowed to check out all my items except a scratch off lottery ticket. I was told their store policy does not allow scratch off tickets on debit cards. So, I went somewhere else and bought one. Debit is as good as cash. I'm not complaining exactly. My question is how do you feel about this policy. If customers are going to go across the street to buy a scratch off ticket instead of going there should they change their rules? Thanks for your input.
P.S. I'm not trying to say anything bad about them. This is their policy and everyone knows it. I'm asking how you feel about it.

There are a lot of stores that do that.

They probably do not know the difference between a debit and credit card and assume its like a credit card.
