Norwood, your idea is dumb. Will you be taking the pay cut to pay for the fuel costs?

Scottsville already has a bus service, Jaunt is there every day on a regular basis during rush hours. People can book a ride with Jaunt from point A to point B with full realistic service, a simple phone call to make an appointment works. Also, Norwood is not the best choice for County Supervisor at all. Read this article at http://www.scottsvilleweekly.com/issue39.html

There's already CAT service to PVVC. This guy like most politicians are completely out of touch with the people and the communities they live in, or does he even live here? I don't care if he's left or right he's clueless.

Interesting how all of these comments are from the same IP address! Almost as if they were from a single person, hmmmm.
Actually there is bus service to PVCC, something Norwood mentioned. This past month that service carried 2100 hundred people and there is an estimated 6-8000 commuters from Scottsville center to Charlottesville every day. Extending the service down would allow for many of those commuters to avoid taking the dangerous Route 20 and save on gas.
Oh, and in case the single above poster is completely clueless, normal people cannot take Jaunt. The pay cost for the service would be minimal compared to the economic advantage it provides. Im all for this and I live in Mill Creek!

Who do you consider normal people, Earl? My mom who is 74 takes Jaunt to and from her doctor's appointments, out to get groceries, etc. The only thing not "normal" about her I suppose is that she doesn't have a driver's license. You'd be surprised just how "normal" most of the people who take Jaunt are. We have lots of people who work at my facility who use Jaunt to come to work in the morning and go home in the evening. They are normal people! They just happen to be without transportation. I think you should choose your words more carefully in the future.
