Minor Eager is the only one that actually cares about this part of the county, which is covered with industrial blight. The unneeded high school soaked up all the money so there is nothing left to pick up the mountains of trash that line Rt. 250 blow off of recycling trucks. No one else cares. They are too busy taking care of all the lake people and ignoring this part of the county.
PLEASE.....give me a BREAK....Minor Eager does not care about anything but what affects him. I HOPE he does not get elected as the schools will surely receive less money. He sent his children to private schools and has NEVER supported the county schools. And our tax money should not have to clean the mountains of trash....the company should be resposible for this or what about making the prisoners clean up. They used to have to work for the room and board.

Your story was incorrect on one point and misleading in another point. The woman who was beaten was not James's "girlfriend" but rather his EXGIRLFRIEND of 10 months. Alcohol did fuel the fight, but only on James's part.
If you want a real story look at James's Fluvanna criminal record and his past two convictions of domestic abuse and then everyone can wonder why he's out walking around. The tax payer and police could have been spared alot of expense had Fluvanna Courts followed up on him.

Thank God Albemarle County police were not involved. They would have shot him 50 times! Thanks to the police that were involved, for a peaceful ending!

A real prize here. I heard that he whacked her on the head while she was holding the child. What a dad !! Why is she hanging with a loser that doesn't Man-Up and marry her? Turns out, she might have been smart enough to not marry this genius. Also, we hear that he has weapon(s) in his father's house at Lake Monticello. How does a guy with alcohol and mental disorders (described earlier by a person in the know) get access to weapons? How many people like this buy weapons for self protection or sport, but this is how the stories usually end. How long will it take the girlfriend and child to go see him in prison and get back together for round two after he gets out of the big house.

A real good guy/person with a few problems. He Comes from a really good caring family, I know. I know the whole entire family and beyond! He may have a few troubles, bad choices. He deserves a break and the help I hope he gets.. Leave the bad comments off of this, you have no idea. Praying for his family...

Jails and prisons are filled with good guys who have a few problems. Try working them out in a way that doesn't cause harm to others like the rest of us

I will say this again: There is no correlation between student funding per pupil and success of a school district (if you measure success by how well the students do). Look at DC, Phlly, Detroit and New York. Then look at Salt Lake City. It is how the money is spent. We know in Fluvanna that a some of the dollars-per-pupil will be taken up by the debt on the new high school.
While I do not in any way believe the teachers in the county are paid too much (as I do not think cops are paid too much), I do know that bad teachers are protected and moved around, and that there is little accountability.
And can someone please crystallize the Fluvanna Education Association's official stance on school choice/vouchers?
R.I.P.: William Demarest
America's greatest leaders came out of one room school houses for over 150 years and those teachers and schools had miniscule budgets at best. But then again they didn't have the drug history this clown has in Charlottesville circuit court.

Look at his record---

5 cases in Fluvanna district court
9 cases in Albemarle district court
3 cases in Charlottesville district court
2 cases in Charlottesville circuit court

A felon with a firearm is subject to five years in state prison but the judges around here rarely use that card----they need to start doing so and let the word spread. Anybody who reads the Crime Times quickly learns that our felons just can't wait to get themselves a gun from the underworld---------start giving these hope and changers the full five years.

Those that defend guys like this steadfastly refuse to use the court websites and that is no accident.

Well, we should all be praying for everyone involved. But there are consequernces he has to , and SHOULD face. Why does he deserve a break vs. the next "nice guy"?

I'm with you re: Chris Dumler. No one was in that bedroom to witness anything that happened. All of these people call themselves Christians, but will not forgive.

ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?! The teachers didn't bring this little punk into the world -- it's their responsibility to teach him, but it is the responsibility of the PARENTS to raise a decent human being!!! Which they CLEARLY FAILED in doing!! Besides which, even though he's a complete punk that has YEARS of growing up to do yet, he is, by law, legally an adult, and needs to start taking responsibility for his actions!! I'll grant you -- his parents probably should have whipped his rear more often when he was little, but he's plenty old enough to know better now!!

Can you give me a reason why it's a bad idea to be prepared? Because there is a common denominator among people who tragically encounter an unannounced tragic event. Do you know what it is? They all say "I never thought it could happen to me". Being prepared to feed yourself if there is a natural disaster, or providing power to yourself if there is an extended power outage, or protecting your family's life if there is an intruder is not fear it's is self preservation, it's how we have made it this far as a species. You're just another sheep of the left. Baaa, baaaa...

one can be 'prepared' with w/o a 100 round assault weapon, or you can live w/o fear. I've never locked my doors and have never been robbed, maybe it's the law of averages, I don't know. I don't really have a lot around the house worth all the trouble anyway.

oh, and I do have insurance, so it just ain't worth standing-yer-ground

The 'natural disaster, extended power outage' is right up there with the 'tyranny' fearmongering, yeah I guess it COULD come to a dangerous point with zombies running around, but, nah, not really....
