When will they charge the teachers that failed to teach him because they were too busy lobbying for another pay raise?

Maybe because the ACLU would sue the police for cruel and unusual tactic's, injecting this poor "reject" of society with chemical. Thus turning him into a tranquilizer addict. Then we would have to support the rest of his days. I say give him lead poisoning (.357) and be done with him!!!

I think this guy, Kardos should run for Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. He'd fit right in.

Thank goodness he is only 23. With Obamacare, not only can he barricade himself in daddy's house...he can also get all his mental and medical health care covered by daddy's insurance for three more years!

No Fluvanna story would be complete without unfounded accusations against teachers in the comment section! I'm sure the person who writes these ridiculous comments is connected to the vocal minority of those who want to ensure that education plays a MINOR role in Fluvanna and are EAGER to ensure that education gets minimally funded.

Let me clear a few things up. First of all, the security is not a joke at the lake because HE LIVES THERE WITH HIS FATHER. Therefore, he's capable of going in and out. He made it from C-ville to the lake in just a few minutes. He doesn't have insurance, as far as I know. He has a problem with alcohol and drugs. He has a history of abuse, substance and domestic. I'm almost positive he has a personality disorder that the substance abuse does NOT help; either Bipolar Disorder or Dissociative Identity Disorder. I know all of this because I KNOW HIM. I'm not on his side. AT ALL. He deserves to be in prison, after all the crap he's done. To me, to his ex, TO HIS CHILD, to his friends, to everyone else around him. Also, they DID tase him. TWICE. It didn't work. After being arrested so many times in his life, he's probably used to it.

Also, Mr. Harvey Garciawicz, don't you dare EVER make a comment like that again. You want sociopaths and psychopaths running for board? Because that's exactly what he is, and while the current board may not be ideal, they certainly are not either of those things. Get the hell out of here with that crap.

As I recall, someone who wanted more than a MINOR role was defeated in their BOS election bid by only a hand full of votes, even though he was EAGER to slash school funding. As bad as Fluvanna's schools are now (bottom 10% per student funding) just imagine the devastation to our children if that EAGER person had been elected!

I hope everyone pays attention to candidate records this November when someone who equally hates the schools asks you KENNEY have your vote!

I will say this again: There is no correlation between student funding per pupil and success of a school district (if you measure success by how well the students do). Look at DC, Phlly, Detroit and New York. Then look at Salt Lake City. It is how the money is spent. We know in Fluvanna that a some of the dollars-per-pupil will be taken up by the debt on the new high school.

While I do not in any way believe the teachers in the county are paid too much (as I do not think cops are paid too much), I do know that bad teachers are protected and moved around, and that there is little accountability.

And can someone please crystallize the Fluvanna Education Association's official stance on school choice/vouchers?

Minor Eager is the only one that actually cares about this part of the county, which is covered with industrial blight. The unneeded high school soaked up all the money so there is nothing left to pick up the mountains of trash that line Rt. 250 blow off of recycling trucks. No one else cares. They are too busy taking care of all the lake people and ignoring this part of the county.
