I think this guy should get life in prison so there is never a chance for him to do this again. His first attempt failed his next one may not. I would probably be on trail for murder if I had been in the mall that day and seen this scumbag make his attempt.

I am from Fluvanna and know James Key well. I also know that James suffers sesures that cause him to do off the wall things. They are not the kind where you fall on the floor. For example James used to shoot basketball at the Carysbrook Gym in Fluvanna. Sometimes when he would have these sesuires he would grab the basketball and start walking off with it. Guys that knew James would have to grab him and sit him down until his sesuires would pass. I might be wrong, but I dont see james commiting this crime. Could he have had a seizure?

Did have a hotel room booked for that night he tried walking off with someone's basketball? I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Good for you, I hope you all pat yourselves on the back as the champions of justice you are. You get online and and talk about you want to start lynch mobs like you know everything about everything, but this person has been known to have a problem. That doesn't excuse him to you, though. No, what was once a clumsy unfortunate problem has turned him into a sick, deranged child abuser all in on regretful moment -but only because people like you, you self-righteous big talkers, you armchair vigilantes, say he is.

It is a shame that mall security did not do their job and hand him over to the police. If, indeed, he was having a seizure, he could have gotten medical care immediately and there would not have been any misunderstanding about what actually happened in this case. Now it is possible - again, if this was a seizure - that this person could be convicted of a terrible crime that he is actually not guilty of - all because mall security let him go instead of calling in the police.

All of you gullible people who believe there is a seizure disorder that would cause a person to abduct a child please take a few minutes to educate yourself. Go online and read the facts on seizures and you will see that there is no such disorder. For people to keep stating this as a plausible excuse is insulting to people who suffer from seizures. He may very well suffer from seizures but they do not cause a person to attempt to take someones child.

He is guilty. There is no question he is guilty. He did it which by definition means he is guilty. He picked up that girl and began walking away. That means guilty. Everyone please stop saying he may not be guilty. If what he did was caused by some exotic medical condition not yet defined by science as he, his supporters, and lawyers are claiming then the proper steps should be taken to protect him and the rest of society. He can't be walking around stealing basketballs and little girls. If he has demonstrated this behavior in the past, shame on everyone aware from not taking action and preventing this. Instead of focusing on how nice Kevin james or james kevin may be think about how the family felt when they saw their little girl in his arms headed in the other direction. Guilty. Maybe due to a medical condition, but regardless, guilty and something must be done to prevent more tragedy in the future.

You all should mind your own business and let the justice system handle this matter. Talking B.S. over the computer obviously means you have no life and no purpose but to ruin others. Kevin Key is "Innocent until proven Guilty" Remember that? If not maybe you should take you honkey A$$ back to school before posting ignorant comments.

Could this person,s so-called "medical condition" cause him to commit murder? Cause death and destruction on the highway? Rob a bank? If all convicted criminals who claimed their actions were due to a "medical condition" were let out of prison, the prisons could be closed, their employees let go, and judges allowed to take early retirement.

On "trail" for murder? I think you should get the death penalty for what you do to the English language!

Just so I am clear. What is it he may be innocent of?

You have an epic spelling mistake. You should have used the the noun "sense" instead of he incorrect use of the adverb "since". Maybe some evening classes in English should be considered before you make another incestuous offspring post. I know not all Madison people are as toothless, illiterate, uneducated, as you are. Please refrain from coitus, we need no more of your kind. Maybe you should change your screen name to "No School Patriot", it would be more fitting to your writing style.

But you have committed an equally offensive and irresponsible grammatical calamity : "instead of he incorrect use" . Shame on you for mixing up a third-person singular, masculine, nominative case pronoun with a comparative adverb !!!
I don't want to hear weak excuses for your brain fart, like my keyboard letter T sticks etc. You are what happens when cousins marry, and a disgrace to the privilege of free speech that NBC29 allows on this great forum.
STAY OFF THIS SITE UNTILL YOU HAVE LEARNED PROPER GRAMMATICAL ENGLISH SENTENCE STRUCTURE !

I have three different seizure disorders, but never once did it cause me to attempt to abduct a child. To think that all this time I could get away with criminal behavior by claiming "my seizure disorder made me do it!"
