wonder if he had a fish on the line and it pulled him in. I've had that happen before.

hmm thats odd. why did Lake Monticelle water rescue pull the guy out? Scottesville has their own water rescue with dive certified members.

Freelance, there is nothing odd about the Lake's WRT doing the recovery. If you were familiar with the region, you would know that whenever there is a water rescue event, teams from Scottsville, CARS, and the Lake are automatically notified and dispatched to the event. The three agencies consistently train together in order to serve as a regional resource.

Freelance, at least now you know. So you can't use the excuse that "it's odd" if you get 1 or all of the agencies to your area.

This is a terrible accident to a good man. If these nuts cant write something positive they shouldnt be allowed to say anything. Whats the big deal about who found him.

David Dimmie was a friend of our family since childhood. He was like a brother to us growing up. We truly wish his wife, children grandchildren and other family members the best;they are in our prayers. "Spark" Dimmie will be greatly missed mostly by his craziness and loud laughter. May god bless him.

I was in Scottsville when the rescue team was coming through, and most of the drivers would not even pull over to let the emergency vehicles pass. In an emergency, seconds count.

This is terrible. I hope somehow we get an explanation as to how it happened...education is important and, I say this with all respect, but a pond isn't a very dangerous water hazard. I wonder if it was shallow and somehow he got trapped in the mud...that's typically what kills cows. In any event, very sad and my thoughts go out to the family.

Even when a person leaves this earth people always have something to say and wonder what could have happened...........it is now over and we can not question the work of the Lord. May my Uncle rest in peace and be at rest. He was a WONDERFUL person and you could not have asked for a better man. Our family will greatly miss him. If YOU can not say anything positive do not make a comment. We do not need questions of what could of happen or why this and that. Again, let him rest in peace because he is now in a better place than us. When its time for us to go its time. May the Work that he done speak for him...
