Who cares where it goes. It is just good to have it in the county. The closest one is in Richmond, no?

So long (overpriced) sams club.
It'll make the drive to wegman's less painful.

I'll be surprised if this actually happens. Anyone remember when Home Depot tried to come to Cville?

Hope it does! Is it true that Trader Joe's is now NOT coming because the county won't allow them to have their sign? I heard they have withdrawn from the Charlottesville/Albemarle area? Can anyone confirm this?

I hate to be like this but "who cares"? I visited the one in Short Pump, bought several items and tried them and tossed most of it into the trash. Nothing great about any of it including the store itself.

Consumer Reports show both Costco and Trader Joes rated far above Sams Club as well they should, Sams Sucks.

Geez!!!!!!! Enough already!!! What's wrong with having undeveloped land!! We are turning into a concrete jungle. The roads can't support the traffic now!

Depends on where you live in the Cville area. In the northern part of Albemarle County, Harrisonburg is closest. But if you're near Keswick or Pantops, it's better to take I-64 to the Richmond store because you're doing 70 mph rather than going up and down the mountain on 33(plus taking 29 just to get to 33).

Costco is definitely better than Sam's even if you have to drive 45 min to an hour to get there.

over priced junk which they charge you dummies a membership fee to buy....by shopping carefully you can always beat the sams club and cosco prices and at the same time get a better quality of merchandise.....

Yay, it's about time that C'ville started getting some decent stores. Love Costco and Trader Joe's. And YES, I do have a Costco card. I used it in Richmond and Newport News. And YES, bring it on to Southern Albemarle. Sam's is too far to go!
